  1. any thought that yesterday's Garcia and Romano appearances may have been advertising? Baltimore could probably use the two of them. Holliday and nothing less would be required.
  2. Don't know where to ask this question, so just putting it out there: why is everyone getting sick on the sports teams? Springer, Turner and whoever else here and all of those Maple Leafs. Que pasa?
  3. Is everyone sick, or something? Vogelbach batting against lefties?
  4. Vogelbach is clearly becoming the worst bat on the team and provides no defensive value. We released him once, I don't know why we brought him back other than to please Kikuchi. Votto seems to be the next try-out for the position.
  5. Not really, I learned from a professional baseball person once that young players get compared to people that have travelled the path to the majors before. I just think some 17-18 year old has to prove something to be ranked so high as a prospect. He's an honourable mention to me, not a 3rd ranked prospect. And yes, I think we have a lot of duds on the list. I figure we have maybe 3-4 prospect bats and maybe 1 pitcher (Ricky T if healthy). Some others who might get a cup of coffee also exist.
  6. Agree totally, but it also shows why ranking him 3rd best prospect is complete ********. Hadn't even picked up a wooden bat and already 3rd best prospect? Ratings like that lose respect. Give him honourable mention or something like that, but let the kid swing a bat before rating him.
  7. If Vogelbach had come to bat here, I think I'd no longer follow the Jays.
  8. Here's a question: if Teoscar can fix Vladdy in 10 minutes (or less) of conversation, then what are Mattingly, Martinez, Hague and whoever doing????
  9. this season I'm trying to just look for good bits wherever they are. Today's Manoah seems like a good bit. Vladdy seems to be going in the right direction, but damn if it's not too hard to knock him off his perch.
  10. gotta admit, his swing has been better since he talked to Teoscar. Not so closed anymore.
  11. From thinking about defense infield, 2b errors are usually based on footwork, ss errors are on throws and 3b on arm and reactions. If his errors are up, maybe footwork is his weakness.
  12. I guess you can f*** a guy up on the spot, but takes a while to repair.
  13. Here's a thought about the stupidity of Vladdy: is it possible that he's hitting like s*** because he can't wear the home run jacket anymore?
  14. I could agree with that.
  15. a complete adjustment is needed. Whoever the backoffice moron is with these decisions has to go otherwise it's a waste of time.
  16. and 8th error. We can't have him matching homers for errors.
  17. I used to so admire Mattingly as 1b with the Yankees. As a coach: it doesn't work.
  18. No, I'd give a day off per week to Vlad and Turner and give Turner a day a week at 3b.
  19. No, I'd have Horwitz getting 2-3 starts per week with Vogelbach gone. IKF would start on the bench 2-3 games but late innings all the time. I know this sounds funny but I think good hitters make other good hitters better. Conversely, duds make mediocre hitters worse.
  20. I've heard that Bo carries a lot of baggage from his father. Wonder if something's creeping into his thoughts.
  21. Geezus, I walk away for about an inning and major choke!
  22. True, but if I'm right, (and I could be wrong about the rule) then the coaches/manager should be on top of these things. Shouldn't be me and Terminator.
  23. He couldn't slide because he didn't have a lane. Management may have dropped that one.
  24. wait, on the Abrams play to the catcher, doesn't the catcher have to leave open a lane? He was blocking the plate before he had the ball.
  25. I saw him speaking and he said that it was his back.
