  1. Kawasaki doesn't make that play ladies and gents...JOSE!
  2. Not pretending I know anything about this guy, but it's not fun to read "it’s entirely possible a team could take a stab at murphy in the top 10 rounds—though it’s highly unlikely he would ever go as early as the second to fourth rounds"
  3. His 30 day rehab is up next week. So we will be seeing a decision one way or another really soon.
  4. Why does it surprise me still that the Jays front office is filled with non-thinkers
  5. I can but odds are I won't give a s*** after the Jays pick
  6. Well he is on pace for 8+ WAR this season. So it's certainly quite possible.
  7. We are clearly the best drafters
  8. Keith Law has an updated top 25, with an Aaron Sanchez appearance. http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/9315120/oscar-taveras-st-louis-cardinals-new-no-1-prospect-baseball-mlb?refresh=true 13. Aaron Sanchez, RHP | Toronto Blue Jays (age 20) Current level: High Class A (Dunedin) Preseason ranking: 19 He's on the shelf right now with a minor muscle pull, but Sanchez's plus stuff, including a fastball up to 99 mph with minimal effort, is producing better results already than it did last year, a step forward similar to Archie Bradley's, where the performance is catching up to the scouting reports.
  9. Agreed. Both have pretty bad bats vs Ls and Gose's ++ D and speed has the potential to make a far bigger impact on the game than what Lind could contribute.
  10. Ya man, as I said before the game he does a good job on the Raptors broadcast. 100X better than Buck just for the fact he doesn't bumble and mispronounce names every 2 minutes. Also seemed to have enough knowledge about the game, which was a nice surprise.
  11. I will be legitimately shocked if Boni doesn't strike out in every AB vs Gausman
  12. I like Devlin, does a nice job on the Raptors broadcast when he isn't with the cancer known as Leo Rautins. There is almost no way he is worse than Buck
  13. JPs response "So i dont walk as much as one of the best in the bigs #getadayjobloser"
  14. Haha. Fair enough. I didn't mean it to come off negatively. That's what I have read on Ball as well, 3 average pitches at this time with all having plus potential. Outside of Meadows and Frazier, Ball and Smith sit at the top of my list. Also, I have zero interest in a defense first catcher with a questionable bat @ #10.
  15. Height factors into projection though. He is sitting 89-91 right now and up to 95 and he still has to fill out his frame, so there is definite room for growth there. Curve looks to be plus and the change has really developed this year, one of our board experts ace seems to think it is better than the curve. I've read all teams except maybe the Padres see him as a LHP rather than an OF. Here's a recent video of him http://www.bbprospectreport.com/2013/05/14/trey-ball-video-2
  16. Lol that's not true at all. Lawrie is far more valuable, even if you were to adjust for positional value. JPA has a career WAR of 1.8 over 280 games without factoring his worst in the league framing. 1.8 WAR over that timeframe is ranked 29th for Cs.
  17. lolwut
  18. I like this idea. MVP Batter: Bryce! Bryce! Bryce! Living up to the expectations so far, I couldn't ask for a better performance. .297/.387/.619 slash line and 10 HR, if I want to nitpick, he only has 1 SB. MVP Pitcher: Mike Minor. I was hoping for him to continue his solid numbers from last year, but he's been even better taking a step forward. 2.96 ERA 3.56 FIP 4.75 K/BB .236 OBPA. LVP Batter: Edwin. His HR are there but only .313 OBP and .469 SLG. LVP Pitcher: Gio. He is starting to come around but he is not pitching like the ace I need him to be. 4.20 ERA 2.20 K/BB .287 OBPA
