  1. My list: 1. Encarnacion 2. Phillips 3. Perez 4. Harper 5. Swisher 6. Ruggiano 7. Callaspo 8. Eaton 9. Hardy 10. Gonzalez 11. Minor 12. Liriano 13. Jimenez 14. Kelly 15. Wood 16. Nolasco 17. Lincecum 18. Carpenter 19. Thornton Cuts: Heisey, Pierre, Axelrod, Gaudin, Blackley, Belisario, Mcdonald Cutting three prospects: Jeimer Candelario, Jordan Paroubeck Cody Reed
  2. Realistically will need at least 55 wins. 24-3 the rest of the way is possible right? Right....!?!?
  3. Lol Val's shooting tonight was brutal. Had some really nice looks, just wasn't falling. Defense and rebounding was pretty good tonight though. Gotta win ugly sometimes, 28-24 at the break, only 6 games against the top 12 teams in the league from here on out, 5 of which are at home. 3 spot is ours to lose
  4. not loving casey's obsession with Novak. If he comes in and misses his first 2 or 3 shots, pull the cord man
  5. Lol ECJF, you cannot be serious that Drummond is better on offense. He literally has NO post moves. Just dunks and putbacks. Hence why he shoots 60%. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not, Val has a great running hook shot, a WAY better jumpshot as well as a good reverse pivot he does off of the running hook shot. Give Drummond those iso looks, he sure as hell isn't shooting 60%. As Dineke said, his defense is vastly overrated. He has been getting abused just as often as Val.
  6. It would be interesting to see if that would work, because neither can really stretch the floor and both operate around the key.
  7. Val also creates his own shot much more often than Drummond does. Offensively, it's not even close. Val is superior Also that goes to show you that PER is not a be-all statistic. Brandan Wright has a 23.18 PER, I suppose he's better at basketball than Lamarcus Aldridge?
  8. Casey was starting to grow on me but his love for "grizzled veterans" and two PG lineups is proving too much for me to handle...Two of Demar/Ross/Salmons should always be in the game, our defense goes to s*** with Vazquez at the 2. Regarding JV, I think the weight he put on this year has been more bad than good. He used to have unlimited energy, bouncing off the floor, quickness advantage etc. Now it seems he lumbers around rather than springs. He is definitely improved over his rookie season. People who say Drummond is some wunderkid and Val isn't great need a reality check. Start watching Pistons games on a regular basis, Drummond is not the amazing defender he's made out to be, consistently makes the same mistakes Val does.
  9. I think our trade was #32 for Morneau and #88. So 88 should belong to Silvergun
  10. Funny thing is, it just so happens the new commish was in the stands to witness this joke
  11. I cannot believe that call. After such an amazing 4th quarter comeback, they do us like that. Moral of the story is this...don't wait till the f***ing 4th quarter to start trying against a 16-32 team.
  12. That's pretty much my top 6, although I don't love Smart and I think you'll see Lavine in the conversation as well as Ennis before the end of the year.
  13. Almost all that report on the draft have Embiid as #1 prospect right now
  14. Possibly but I think Parker is pretty close to what he will end up being. Wiggins ceiling is much higher IMO. If a team is looking for a player who is more NBA ready, you are right, they could take Jabari. However, if my team is picking in the top 5, I am looking for the highest ceiling rather than most NBA ready.
  15. If we got Lavine in the 20s...I would cream immediately. Shades of Russell Westbrook. Either of the Canadian boys would be great too (not because they are Canadian but they legitimately fill a need for the team while most likely being BPA if they are still there)
  16. Lol, that's ridiculous. The draft is all about projecting what they'll be down the road. Adam Morrison destroyed college, I guess he was the next Larry Bird right?
  17. Possibly looking to move Robert Stephenson or Kyle Zimmer for equal positional prospect, if anyone is looking to add a potential ace
  18. You should watch the special, it really shows you a different vantage point that a lot of people didn't see. The day before the trade, he went to Sam Mitchell and said he doesn't want to be dealt but he would accept a trade if that's what the team felt was best.
  19. Did you watch the VC special? I hate Babcock so much..
  20. I'd disagree, they overcame a pretty terrible performance and put their foot on the throats of Utah when it came to crunch time. Was 81-76 and we finished on a 13-3 run. Not the best performance but stepped up when it counted.
  21. First 2 are must wins, winning in LAC is very very unlikely
  22. Lmao, I know. I just choose to ignore him . Raps situation is much more optimistic than our Jays right now
  23. From what I have seen it seems to take bigs much longer to develop, so I have faith that JV will turn it around on the defensive end. Has all the tools. Agreed with Ross, I think he is a better talent than Demar. Already a really solid defender with a great 3pt shot, his handle is actually not bad and can clearly finish in traffic. I think he just needs more reps and experience. If we keep the main core of Lowry, Ross, Amir, JV, Patterson, Demar (I wouldn't be against trading him, but he's not a negative asset anymore) and build around them we could have a contender on our hands, just as Miami may be coming apart. After next season we should have a lot of cap room, with a competent GM. Color me optimistic.
