  1. I'd honestly prefer to see an OF of Revere/Pillar (LF/4th OF in a platoon) with Pompey in CF and Saunders in RF if he's healthy and Bautista moved to 1B. I really like what Pillar has done this year but I still think Pompey's complete package is a much better option going forward in 2016.
  2. It's going to be important to have Goins on the bench next year to make sure Tulo and Travis both get time off their feet. A conversion to a dirt infield helps but a game at DH or a game on the bench is still much better. I'm more concerned about or OF next year than I am the IF.
  3. I know that Goins is good defensively but Hudson was much better in his Jays tenure around 60 DRS in 3 seasons.
  4. Now if only I could find the video of John McDonald catching a ball hit off the cat walks.
  5. Alas I still can't get Tim to come talk here.
  6. I really want to see how far that may have gone, it looked like it was still gaining height.
  7. It's already posted on the General Jays Discussion. A good friend of mine (if he isn't you!) made it.
  8. Just sent it to a friend of mine, turns out he made the video haha.
  9. Depending on where you are in India the dress isn't very different than most of the middle east. I've spent between Jordan and India about 6 months in the regions over the last 4-5 years.
  10. I like Revere in the 7th spot. Let's him use his speed more if the two guys in front of him don't get on. He may lead off a few innings from there.
  11. I'm cool if Price is careful with Calhoun, Trout and Pujols but he needs to be getting the rest of the line up on 2-3 pitches. Get Santiago back out there fast.
  12. I think he'd be a good 5th man on a NL bench. Can pinch hit, play the odd game at 1B and in a horrendous you lost all your OFs in a fire situation can "play" LF. Then again casual fans (I'm talking to you /r/torontobluejays) seem to think he's a good baseball player. When you need a .400 BABIP to be 0.3 wins above replacement there's issues. He's filling the roll he should be filling now, but in the wrong league.
  13. I wouldn't be opposed to an OF of Pillar/Revere (platoon), Pompey and Bautista next season.
  14. One Chris Heisey please. Then when Travis is healthy (if before September or if we make the playoffs) one less Chris Colabello please.
  15. I've heard that Thole is injured but he isn't on the 7-day DL in AAA (Ochinko and Jiminez are) and AJ is still recovering from surgery. If Thole is actually hurt we don't have another healthy catcher on the 40 man.
  16. I'd even mod here. I've stopped posting because there are far too many people who intentionally troll. I'm all for conflicting opinions if the discourse is civil but half the time the arguments turn into "Yo bruh, I'll punch you" or "Yo bro, you're dumb" instead of actually doing anything.
  17. You're both really f***ing annoying, "yo bro, scared nothin bro, yolo swag" "i'll punch you bro, one punch bruh". Just stop f***ing responding to one another. If either of you was actually tough neither one would have to say s*** because you'd be self aware enough of it. Otherwise this has been a fun game to watch, Chavez is filthy today.
  18. It really comes down to him or Schultz and frankly at this point I don't care which of the two it is, as long as someone goes down and an OF comes up.
  19. I'm fine with the Pennington over Kawasaki move but having no 4th OF is making me one angry Jays fan. Pillar looks like he needs a day off.
  20. Any mention of the roster move for Pennington? I'm assuming Kawasaki going down and Pennington and Goins platooning at 2nd. We really should be sending Schultz down and calling up Pompey or someone else to be the 4th OF or take over in CF and platooning Revere and Pillar in LF.
  21. Why not just go down to 7 relievers? Option Schultz.
  22. Agreed. I'd like to see Schultz (play the options) and Cola sent down with Thole (if they're doing it for Dickey) and Pompey brought up. Let Revere and Pillar platoon.
  23. If Thole comes up I'd still like to see one of Cola or Navarro moved and another OF brought up as well. You can't have 3 catchers and 3 1b on one roster.
  24. I'm really surprised that one of our 8 relievers hasn't been optioned to bring up a 4th OF. Glad to see Smoak playing today. If they kept Colabello to platoon with Smoak I'm hoping it's against LHP or RHP that Smoak has fared terribly against in his career and not just at any random whim.
  25. I was actually thinking something similar myself. I know we wanted an 8 man 'pen for today with Dickey on short rest (might be tired after 4-5). I still think that sending Colabello down was the right move and calling Pompey up after the game was the right move. A bench of Valencia, Kawasaki (Goins when Travis is healthy), Pompey and Navarro looks a lot better than Colabello, Navarro, Pompey and Goins.
