  1. He has a bone bruise. Most recent X-Ray (2 weeks ago) still shows it as a pretty deep bruise. You can't set a time line on that.
  2. He thinks he will be. Media reports have the season written off.
  3. Holy f*** do we ever need an upgrade in LF. I knew Colabello was terrible but looking into Carrera and Valencia would you imagine that Valencia has been our best of the three in LF? Colabello's rocking that -9 DRS (-14 if you include RF) with a UZR of -56.6, Valencia -3 and -4.6 and Carrera has been -10 and -8.3. Obviously Colabello has no business putting his feet onto anything other than a batters box (which is also debatable) but Carrera is basically in the same boat.
  4. Mother of God AA is trying to fix all of Riccardi and Godfrey's mistakes. First he gets Tulo to replace the Romero pick. Now we fear we get Kemp whom we almost traded Wells for /s
  5. I almost wonder if he has a small fracture in his collar bone that was feeling good and near healthy, returned to games and after a week or so of abuse and torqueing on top of the rehab and working out it's back.
  6. He's an American travelling in the states, his passport's in Colorado, there's no reason for him to have it on him at the moment.
  7. For those wondering what Tulo won't be here tonight, he probably doesn't have his passport. Has to travel to get it, then travel to TO.
  8. Rumour has it that the Indians turned down Hoffman, Norris and Pompey so no Hutch Norris + doesn't get it done.
  9. I almost wonder if Tulo might be hitting lead off at this point in time. His powers down a bit but he's getting on base at a really solid clip.
  10. I'm assuming a PTBNL so someone drafted this season.
  11. I like Cody Reed, John Lamb might come up this year as he's been doing alright at AAA and Finnegan hopefully goes back to the minors to be stretched back out as a starter.
  12. We don't need an ace, we need a mid rotation starter and a a front end starter. It's not like there are 30 aces in baseball, there are more now than in 2006-2007 but there's still not one per team in the league. Fiers fills a need now and he fills a need going forward. Getting someone like Fiers and someone like Ross or Cashner does a huge amount to help the team now.
  13. I got hit with the trade hype train. I was hoping that when I read the Padres rumour about 4 we might hear something by now. I'd be fine with moving Norris, Sanchez and Pompey for Cashner and Ross but I'd want both and not Cashner/Ross +
  14. It's like 45 minutes flight time and a 3 hour drive, it'll take WEEKS TO GET HIM HERE.
  15. I'm always intrigued by him. He has really good stuff, it plays better in the 'pen but his numbers are better as a starter if IIRC.
  16. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CKIcLrNUsAAqokm.jpg:large I don't know how to imbed so f*** that. But Chris Archer at the Jays Care foundation. One of my good friends saw Archer a few days ago in Toronto with a few folks from Toronto's front office. Pretty neat that a rival player is doing something for the Jays Care group.
  17. I'll leave it where it's been since he did the Marlins trade at disapprove.
  18. 31 degrees with sun here in Ottawa, took my fiance and the niece to the zoo today (though it's not a good zoo) and didn't even care about watching the game.
  19. I almost wonder if we'd be better off as a team DFAing RA Dickey who has been terrible this year and running someone like Norris out every 5th day (this is assuming we can trade for a pitcher as well) or letting him come out and throw 4-5 innings of 5 run ball.
  20. Dickey has been absolutely horrendous this year. Between him and Sanchez being negative assets it's hard to imagine that we've done well.
  21. It's nice but his FIP is still 5.11.
  22. 3 for 3 and a triple short of the cycle in the 5th.
  23. My biggest concern with Reyes is his walk rate. He was in the 10s regularly with the Mets, 8 when he first came to Toronto and something like 3.5 the last few years. It's brutal.
  24. This is AA we're talking about. Him and Gibby seem to think Navarro can hit.
  25. I'm hoping to see Tolleson and Thole sent down when they return. I'd hate to see Navarro taking at bats away from Colabello while he's hot or keeping Smoak on the bench and EE at DH. I'm expecting we'll see Smoak released and Goins optioned so we can have 3 catchers again.
