  1. He also has a minor league track record of not being a good starter.
  2. I always think his issue was his breaking and off speed stuff not playing up when he was promoted though there's a great chance that I am wrong.
  3. There isn't a limit to how many guys can be on the 60 day DL, they can have 10 guys on there they'd just need to clear 10 40 man spaces when a player returns.
  4. Ricky Romero has no cartillage in either of his knees so he can't plant firmly or push off.
  5. It's one of those frustrating losses as the Rays didn't do any major damage, they just waited. Jays worked a fair amount of walks but their last round of at bats were terrible. No patience at all. Nice to see Donaldson's timing getting down, almost went yard on that down and away pitch. The Rays have that great strategy against the Jays of just pitching down and away, it's hard for our guys who aren't 80 grade power guys like Stanton to go the other way on low pitches for home runs. Their IF shifts always seem to work as well.
  6. I'm really hoping that the Jays and O's keep doing what they've done the last two seasons, pitching inside, s*** talking and high tension between teams. Makes for exciting baseball.
  7. Smoak hasn't had an off day since Opening day so it could just be a day off with a day game after a night game, who knows I wouldn't read too much into it. I'm looking forward to this one, we always hit Tillman well and it is supposed to be 16-19 degrees C at gametime, ball might fly today.
  8. Nice to see Hendricks do well tonight. I really like Redmond but if the team was going to keep only one of Hendricks or Redmond I think I prefer Hendricks.
  9. I really can't understand the love people have for it, that being said I've never played hockey. I played baseball and football and when it came to scholarships I excelled at baseball so that's what I played. Winter sports for me are watching paint dry, lifting heavy things and singing the time moving forward faster so that winter is over song. Hockey reminds me of soccer on skates but is slightly more entertaining. Or basketball on skates.
  10. I haven't watched hockey in 12 years, it's a pretty boring sport in my opinion.
  11. Throwing down and in to Jones inside the zone is a bad idea.
  12. 24p at this point with one out and 2 runs in, great inning.
  13. Keep the Reyes information coming in, I'm stuck using gameday for the next 70 minutes.
  14. Delabar hasn't been good since the first half of 2013. His second half of 2013 wasn't good, 2014 was terrible and his split was not good this spring.
  15. My Internet s*** the bed around the 6th so I missed the last 3 full innings. Nice to see such strong outings from Castro, Osuna and Cecil today. Norris looked good from what I saw, I get the feeling some control issues were related to the colder weather.
  16. As long as he's not in the field I think he'll stay healthy enough to do damage with the bat.
  17. Ehh when I played I ate like s*** before games. I'd easily eat 1-1.2k calories of something like tacos before a game, the rest of the week I'd eat green leafy veg and saturated fatty meats and eggs.
  18. I sat there and even said out loud "well f***, that's a home run" of course the ball only makes it to the short stop though.
  19. It's if today is rained out they don't need to reschedule later in the season.
  20. Kang had a leg kick in Korea and the Pirates have tried to eliminate it for some reason.
  21. It was Michael Taylor not Wallace. Though we did get Wallace soon after. TDA is a pretty legit catcher, Taylor isn't in baseball and Drabek was a good looking prospect before the second TJS.
  22. It's spring training. He could've just not been sufficiently warmed up after a long toss session and when he started loosening he was tight.
  23. The little alterations that Pillar made in his stance, hands closer to the body slightly higher, slightly more open, slightly higher leg kick seem to actually let him get the bat to the zone quicker. I'd thought his bat was really slow to the zone last year and if the changes are legitimate and we see them over the next two or three weeks that might make for a much better offensive performance from him.
  24. They'll probably get 2-3 at bats and call it a day.
