  1. MiLB union forms are apparently already greater than 50% signing for the union, paperwork is supposedly off to the league office. This is as per Drellich. I don't use Twitter so I don't know if I can link it.
  2. Biggio's wRC+ since that date is 40 points higher than Espinal's wRC+. Espinal is +10 OAA at 2B, Biggio is +2 this year and +1 in RF. There is quite literally zero reason that Biggio shouldn't be starting every game against RHP at this point.
  3. EhJays Why would they call up Lawrence, during the double header, to potentially take a spot start before the double header takes place? Lawrence will likely start tomorrow or Sunday and bump Berrios back a day to start one of the double header games so we don't use a AAA arm against a team we're in a playoff race with.
  4. Lawrence is likely going to get a spot start against the Pirates which means during the Oriole's doubleheader we don't need to call anyone up from AAA for that.
  5. Gausman is tied for first in the MLB in fWAR at 4.7 and leads the AL in fWAR. Manoah is around 2.7 and Stripling at 2.2.
  6. I watch the games but I really dislike it.
  7. The biggest issue I have is that Zimmer had 86 PA. If he had the 300+ Tapia has received he'd likely level out to around his more normal career ~2ish WAR /650 PA. Even if he has a 70ish wRC+ it's an improvement on two of the "everyday" OF we presently have.
  8. I'd rather have Zimmer than Tapia myself. I still don't understand JBJ over either of them.
  9. Zulu also has a knee injury and a tired arm.
  10. Boston is a top five US city for me. I prefer Houston, Nashville, Chicago and Seattle to Boston but Boston is awesome.
  11. I wonder who would have provided more value at 300 PA this season, Tapia who has -0.1 fWAR or Ziimmer. I think Zimmer's defense and speed would provide a bit more value but he's also not going to hit as badly as he has over the course of the season. It's frustrating watching Tapia get as much playing time as he is.
  12. f***ing new it. He likely got vaxxed before the trade deadline so he could be traded without issues to the ALE contenders. The FO couldn't say anything as per their agreement with the MLBPA.
  13. I'd make the assumption Toronto had some sort of guarantee in place before the trade happened that Merrifield will get, or has gotten vaccinated. Toronto is not allowed to comment on this without the players permission.
  14. We all forget the best part of the Groshans deal, that coming to us PTBNL which is never a bad player. Heck it could be Groshans!
  15. I'm in the B category. Ross raised the floor for the team which isn't a bad move. Got some Springer insurance in Merrifield and a better 2B option for 23 than Espinal or Biggio, also opens up moving a corner OF over the winter. Every player acquired has control for next season and beyond which is nice as well. I trust the front office on their prospect assessment. The only prospects this FO have traded that haven't cratered are SWR and Wincowski.
  16. Richards has been really good coming in to clean up an inning and really bad going back out for a clean inning.
  17. If these two moves end up being all we do I'd consider that okay for the trade deadline. I'd prefer improving the bench by adding some type of bat that replaces Collins on the bench and something that lets us release Tapia but lengthening the 'pen was a welcome move.
  18. Bass is a legit get for this season. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/savant-player/anthony-bass-542914?stats=statcast-r-pitching-mlb That red.
  19. Since I can't reply with a quote you'd rather have Tapia, and his abysmal defense in the OF as the 4th OF vs Gallo who has a history of hitting and is a good defensive OF?
  20. If Gallo is DFAd I'd take a flyer on him. Grow the beard back and bring back the bat, it's simple logic.
  21. The more I think about a trade with the Cubs the more I want it to happen. Robertson and Happ would be a solid get. Happ would be someone you'd want to play everyday (would be a top 4-5 player on the roster based on fWAR) and is solid defensively in LF. Even after how hot Tapia has been I'd still punt him off the roster if an improvement could be found. 0.1 fWAR with a 101 wRC and horrendous D.
  22. Present I still believe The Dogg was East Coast Jays Fan.
  23. It's either you or me Jayzfan79, I'm only posting because I don't know how many posts I'm at lol. I still remember the great migration from the Jays Forum. As an edit I have a lot more posts that I thought I had, a lot more.
  24. I have zero issues with Montoyo going, it seemed like he lost the players confidence. This article is a bit old but still managers don't really win or lose you games. https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/most-managers-are-headed-to-the-hall-of-mediocrity/
  25. I wonder how much performance degradation in arms like Romano, Kay, Francis etc. is the banning of Spidertack.
