    Espinal has a 93 wRC+ since I think April 26th. We're at 2 months of a below replacement level bat. His defense is good but he should be playing off the bench giving Biggio, Bichette and Chapman days off or moving to 2B so Biggio plays 1B and gets Vlad off his feet. He shouldn't be penciled in 5 days a week and he shouldn't be hitting any higher than 8th in this lineup.

    Biggio literally had one bad week to start the year. Biggio's sample size is small due to injury and AAA time but he has a 137 wRC+ since the 17th of April, Espinal has a 101. Since May 1st Espinal has 95 wRC+. In the last 30ish days Espinal has lost 1.1 fWAR (IIRC). Biggio should be getting every start at 2B against RHP.

    Biggio really had one bad week to start the year. Since April 17th Biggio has had a higher OBP and a higher wRC+ than Espinal. Including today's game Espinal is at 100 wRC+, Biggio is at 121. Biggio should be the starting 2B.

    Richards has been good when he finishes an inning and doesn't go back out, he's being misused. Have him end the inning and bring in another pitcher from there.

    Since May 1st of 2021 to today Danny Jansen has the 3rd highest wRC+ in baseball behind Trout and Harper. 100pa minimum because f*** sample sizes.

    Apparently VGJ has a sore wrist, Jansen is on the bench as we're short benched and Hernandez scheduled day off, also injured, who the f*** knows.

    My biggest piss off in the last twenty years in baseball is when New Yankee Stadium was built MLB didn't enforce it's minimum fence distances against the Yankees. It's a beautiful stadium to watch a game in but boy does that still piss me off.

    He's been elite since May 1st of last year. His April was horrendous but I think the wRC+ since is in the 170s.

    I love weird plays on splitters. Rich Harden is my favourite pitcher of all time and he had a nasty splitter/knuckle ball hybrid.

    Out of curiosity did anyone else notice an area on the left side of the 4K broadcast that almost looked like burnt out pixels on the CF camera? I thought it was my TV but have gone through games, movies, other TV and it has literally only been that camera.

    I'm convinced that every home plate umpire we've seen so far this season poured battery acid in their eyes before the game began. The strike zones are the worst I can recall seeing.

    From May 7th on Jansen had a 150+ wRC+. He did it for most of the year but it was still a small sample size.

    I like that it just increases the depth of the rotation. I'm hoping Ryu bounces back, he didn't seem right after the glute injury last year.

    Baergra is the guy that broke Yimi Garcia and I think Semien, ex player so could be legit.

    I don't think anyone is taking Samad. 400 BABIP, 30% k-rate last year. How does that translate at all?

    So looks like Pearson will get a chance to start again next season as he should.

    I'm pro a floor but the $180 cap is too low. Should maintain the $210 it is today or raise it to $225 and increase the penalty for exceeding it with a limit on how many seasons it can be exceeded.

    I'm not too bummed that we traded SWR. Velocity is supposedly down, BB/9 is up though he is of course young. Martin is going to be interesting to follow. If the power develops and he finds a position he may be a really good player but I don't know how well a below average defensive player with an eye and a hit tool will end up doing at the MLB level. We're all just looking at this from an outsiders perspective without all the information available. Someone in the front office could have diagnosed an issue with Martin they don't believe they can fix.

    I still think we're going to trade for Scherzer and Ramirez and it's going to be a Christmas in July miracle. Otherwise gloom exists for August my friends.

    Please baseball gods allow Randal to have entered second half Randal mode.

    Strasburg is one of those guys you wonder what could've been. 10-11 year career with 36.6 fWAR and he was only healthy for a full season 5 times.
