  1. 7 pitches in the 6th. No-No still intact and a quick inning to boot.
  2. I think it's possible that JPA ups his walks over the course of time as he goes on in his career, but even if he does... he's still very bad defensively at the position he plays, and a few more walks per year isn't going to change his overall value because of that fact. As a catcher, his D will also improve, but even with slow marginal improvement over time, he would only get be an average defensive catcher by the time he's 30+, at which point his bat would go south and he'd still be an overall liability as an everyday player.
  3. He's also at 80 pitches before the 6th inning started. Unless he gets a couple very quick innings, he won't last.
  4. It could also be that the fastballs he's facing today have been 88-91, rather than 93+, therefore that hitch is just not causing to be late on the slower FB
  5. Lawrie has been snakebit this entire series, he's been spraying it all over the park and nothing really falling in. He could easily have had 7 or 8 hits
  6. Right now I'd be first pitch hacking on Motensen, clearly a guy who would be throwing nothing but first pitch fastballs... and he can't hit 90 consistently with it. I'd go up there waiting for that first pitch meatball right now.
  7. The long ball at work. It's just too bad that it's not a sustainable way to score runs consistently.
  8. Gotta get him out of there now. 90 pitches and you sure as hell don't want Boston building momentum
  9. Yep. BUt if that's the worst strike call all day, it would be a pleasant change.
  10. NVM, they are off tomorrow, so he can feel free to use the pen as normal.
  11. I know Jenkins hit his poitch count, but I would definitely roll him out for 1 more inning. No need to use 2-3 pen arms in a blowout.
  12. He does have a problem with consistant defense though.
  13. The bench is important but I would think trying trying to assemble a rotation that isn't constantly affected by nagging injuries or being completely awful would be priority #1
  14. Thanks. I'll give that a shot tomorrow.
  15. hey, show me your magic here. Im trying to make the MILB recap threads with the box scores just like this but mine always come out tiny as hell.
  16. He has too many moving parts, he as to learn to be quieter at the plate. It looks to me like his hands start forward then go back, then come forward again, really messing up his timing
