  3. I'll agree to hitters stopping showboating when pitchers stop fist pumping or shooting arrows into the sky after getting a guy out anytime after the 5th inning
  4. Stroman back on the 19th with New Hampshire and will be in the rotation as a starter
  5. My favourite part of this game was the complete "wtf were you doing?" Look that gibbons had after maicer was thrown out stealing 3rd.
  6. As Davidi explained on the jays broadcast tonight Norris is struggling to maintain consistent delivery mechanics, especially his release point. It really explains his wildness. He can't really learn how to pitch until he gets those mechanics down
  7. An excerpt from the Buffalo game recap: "Power…in the form of Mauro Gomez as the slugger launched a three-run opposite field home run in the eighth inning that gave Buffalo the lead. And then even more power from closer Neil Wagner, who hit 101 mph on the Louisville Slugger Field in-stadium radar gun, in picking up his 10th save of the season."

  9. A little. You'd think MLB would be able to find a sweatshop a little closer to home. Maybe angrioter has a few dozen cousins that could use some work.
  10. Well high school picks are far more of a crapshoot than any other pick since they are far more raw in their skillsets, so even the most optimistic results from a high school oriented draft philosophy will yield few results, bad luck or not
  11. Just yahoo. it should tell you there's a trade proposed when you go to set your lineup. I wrote the details in the note for opposing owner
  12. You had a chance to mull that trade offer in FC?
  13. Agreed that it's not all on the drafting philosophy. The player development hasn't been there either with regards to the hit tool, basic base running, basic fundamentals like hitting the cutoff man, when to throw home or hen to throw to 2nd to keep the the guy at first, how to bunt...
  14. The NCAA would love that though the low minors of baseball would really suffer
  15. It's games like today that keep guys like Boni employed. He showed every tool today and there's no doubting his physical talents. Unfortunately those talents are extremely inconsistant
  16. I feel honoured. My thread got copy/pasted to the MLB forum.
  17. Interesting. And here's a link for anyone curious http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/chicago-cubs-sign-anthony-rizzo-to-long-term-extension-jed-hoyer-theo-epstein-051213
  18. Holy s***. Not only did he imply that closers are more indefensible than starters, he used Valverde as his example....
  19. Yeah they ball flying out of there today. Buxton was a HR shy of the cycle
  20. What can I tell you? It's been that way since the early 1990's so....
  21. haha, my fiancée's work computer. Don't really have the choice.
  22. Well I don't use chrome or firefox so I guess that fix won't apply to me. Rats.
  23. Do you have a link to the article or video where he argued this? I'd love a good laugh
