  1. And a little more rain on the parade...
  2. It's easier to replace the production of position players than SP, or perhaps a better way to put it ... the downgrade of 1-2 position players is not as impact full as 1-2 starting pitchers. Usually the replacement position guys can do one aspect of the game well enough that if your pitching is healthy and good, you can overcome it.
  3. And when he strings 2 months worth of good starts together, the Jays might give a s***.
  4. Cuddyer... Yup there's a name the baseball world wants to see ...
  5. Only a few people give a rats dick about roster moves anyways, and only if it's a player worth mentioning.
  6. I prefer less clutter myself, but I see your point. To settle our differences, I propose a race around the world!
  7. Lol, he's dumb but he ain't that dumb
  8. Me too. after a slow start he's been killing it and has massive power
  9. Andrew miller done for the season, Sox pen takes a hit.
  10. Yep. And on the plus side it might give Selig a heart attack when he sees the ratings of like 10 people watching it on TV.
  11. Likely more than half of the guys going won't be playing since the rosters are like 400 people...
  12. The system as a whole? No. But not completely messing up a draft year... Yes.
  13. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/07/nationals-acquire-scott-hairston.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Washington gets Hairston from the Cubs. Not really a significant move
  14. Callis speculates that 2 nd round money is what it would take for tellez, so 1.15 million is in that neighbourhood. Really hope AA pulls it off or this draft might be a complete dud
  15. Yeah without seeing it it's hard o make a real judgement but the announcer said it was on the shallow side of a normal fly, and foul, so I think you gotta take the out rather than giving the hitter another chance. If it was a deep foul, ya I think you let it drop and ale your chances. We know he got the ball there on time, it was just skipped and then bobbled so I think he did it right.
  16. Nl buyers: Arizona, St. Louis, Atlanta, dodgers, Unknown: Pittsburgh/Cinci (can they add payroll?), Washington, Philly, Colorado, San Francisco Sellers: mets, cubs, marlins, padres, brewers
