  1. anyone with a good stream of this? my usual isnt working
  2. Uphill gardening is one thing... but that crosses the line!
  3. Could just be one of those pitches that is only effective as a really rare change of pace/different look. 23 more splitters he will have already thrown as many as he did all of last season, and it was decently successful for him.
  4. Maybe, but shrinking his arsenal is one thing....more than doubling the usage of a demonstrably s***** pitch is another. I'm more of the belief that the organization really loves that pitch amd if you tell them you throw one...its gonna get abused until it works ...even if it never does. It's not a pitch with great velo separation from his fastball, it doesnt have great movement... so using it nearly 30% of the time just doesnt make sense.
  5. I really wish they'd forget Hoffman's splitter exists. He wipes guys out with the fastball/slider...just pack up the splitter and give it a courtesy 5-10% usage as the showme, like Gausman does with his slider.
  6. I was thinking the same but... man they would have had all kinds of time to nail him even on an errant throw unless it was WAAAAY offline.
  7. lol, legit cursed with RISP right now. Everything is roped right at defenders or hit too hard to score a guy from 2nd on a single. Ah well, at least theyre hitting it hard.
  8. Of course. I'd probably let Gausman start the inning with Hoffman warming since Gaus is at 96 pitches but... any trouble and i'd go to the closer. That's his job.
  9. OAA backs up the eye test so far. 89th percentile fielding run value and 83rd percentile in range. Still not enough throws to qualify for the arm stat, but... I have to think he's 85th percentile minimum.
  10. That Barger PA was ... FUGLY watched 3 straight well within the zone. WTF
  11. First pitch he saw too
  12. Any major differences between pen and SP?
  13. How's the pitching over the same stretch? Too lazy too look it up myself.
  14. Man, I had actually completely forgot that Gimenez existed.
  15. Overall his splitter usage has more than doubled vs last season. And its not a very good pitch. I think Walker is a bit too in love with the splitter for Hoffman and needs to dial it back
  16. Yes. Differential is just simply runs scored minus runs given up. Earned... unearned...vs a position player or a one-eyed midget wearing fishnets... doesnt matter
  17. Pearson yeah, but Tiedman pitched there in 2022 and it was A ball by that point. Vancouver became high A in 2021.
  18. Think the Jays use a position player to pitch in the 9th?
  19. I realize these balls should be dug ....but come on boys. Just relax
  20. Urena definitely fits the bill of being "effectively wild"
  21. I would think so. No need to burn another arm.
  22. You want Kirk to score from first on a double? He can barely score from 3rd on a double.
