  1. Pete Rose and Shoeless Joe Jackson have been removed from the permanently ineligible list by MLB. Basically, Manfred announced that anyone who was on the permanently ineligible list who has since passed away, gets removed from the list. They will now eligible for the Hall of Fame if the various committees deem them worthy.
  2. Stronger than Rolen ya think? That dude had a f***in hose... and always centre of the chest. And then there's was that Chapman guy... he's still topping the 3b arm charts in MLB this year
  3. Side note, the Jays have 2 of the top 5 relievers in mlb in terms of K per 9 right now in Hoffman and Little. Definitely did not have that on my bingo card. As it stands now they have 3 top shelf guys in Jimi, Hoffman and Little. Fluharty is making a solid case too right now but his xfip is still a bit of a concern. Green is a bit stinky, Yariel had a rough start to the season but is looking much better recently. Swanson coming back and looking like his old self would be bloody amazing, Sandlin too.
  4. mlb.com updated their top 100 Nimmala a big mover up 19 spots to 59 Yesavage the only other Jay at 71. Nothing noteworthy in their writeup on Nimmala other than the obvious "Nimmala has continued his momentum after a second-half turnaround last summer and has cut down on the strikeouts while maintaining his power production with High-A Vancouver."
  5. i would also agree with that statement. Tucker will be available via FA this upcoming offseason, I think there's a real chance he signs in Toronto with the money they have coming off the books. Plus, someone is gonna have to replace Springer's bat after 2026 and Springer's defense is noticeably declining now, though I think having Straw on the books really helps mitigate that problem to a point. Tucker is the perfect guy to do that. I don't see Bo staying here as of today, but I reserve the right to change that opinion IF he returns to the Bo we saw prior to 2024. Heck, even 2025 Bo is a decent player, but without legit defensive prowess, his stick has to get that 20+ HR power back to be worth keeping IMO and really the power is all that's missing from his pre-2024 hitting metrics. I think Barger might turn out to be a decent contributor, but I'm not even close to ready to call him a core piece yet. As it stands, the only guys who have guaranteed contracts past 2027 are Vlad, Gimenez, Kirk, Yariel and Santander. Berrios could be unless he triggers his opt-out after 2026. Straw could be if his team options are picked up. Everyone else... could be FA, non-tendered, any number of things. I'd love to see Tucker added to that core group.
  6. Good series. SP was good, offense hit some dingers, RP was lockdown. Defense was great. So this is how it feels to click on all cylinders for a few games...
  7. I swear this is the only fan base that complains about the managers pitching moves when the opposition has 1 run on 3 hits over 7 innings.
  8. 12 hits... 9 runs. THATS HOW YOU DO BASEBALL DONNIE
  9. This is the game and series that is going to give us all irrational hope for the rest of the season... Imagine a top 5 of Bo actually hitting, Vlad murdering baseballs, Santander coming back and hitting taters, followed by a performing Barger and Springer. Boner inducing.
  10. Hehe more fun with numbers... one ball gets hit at 107.2 EV and 21 degrees... goes 363 for a HR next ball gets hit at 105.4 EV and 21 degrees, goes 8 FEET FURTHER... for a double.
  11. his average launch angle today is 28 degrees, which would be awesome! its just that to get that average its ... -16, 8, 51 and 70. Fun with numbers!
  12. only at home plate thought, not with the dinner plate.
  13. Clase finally does something useful! I'd love to see him steal 3rd now
  14. Santander is star-level talent. I believe you're referring to superstar level talent they haven't been able to land. Another major issue is their current star-level players at the top of the order drastically underperforming
  15. Why do I giggle every time they say Mastrobuoni...?
  16. he's not just below average now, he'd 3rd percentile in range. And yes, he's clearly put on some poundage. Foot speed is down more than a full foot-per-second from last year when he was league average speed. Now he's 28th percentile speed, just 0.1 feet per second faster than Heineman.
  17. bat speed 80.2 + 112 MPH EV + 32 degrees LA = 416 foot 3 run-jack... Jack!
  18. Urena is a gas can waiting to go off. if you can get once through the lineup only giving up 1 run, that's a win.
  19. Nicely done to escape that mini-jam early. 3 pop-outs
  20. Remind me to buy stock in tar companies and feather companies. Apparently there's a lot of tarring and feathering going on here daily.
  21. Who else is terrified of Garcia vs Julio, Raleigh and Arozarena?
  22. Varsho.... what can even be said about him at this point? Best defensive CF in baseball. Robbery
  23. I don't understand what's happening... 5 runs on 6 hits, 3 of them for extra bases including a HR? Mattingly is losing his mind right now
