    I don't think its underrated. I have a lot of trust in the nerds crunching the numbers and while it can never be exact, its probably already as close as it can be to reality I think in this particular situation though, Raleigh is having a much worse year defensively than anyone issued to seeing, even though its still good. IF he was his usual defensive self along with his current bat, his WAR is probably close or even passing Judge amd the conversation is much closer.

    Since 3/1/2016 his high leverage wRC+ is 97 Maybe not quite one of the very best? Best current Jays, over that 10 year period, when set to minimum 150 PAs in high leverage are Bo (138 wRC+), Vlad (135) and Gimenez (135).

    Need good Gausman for obvious reasons, but even more important since the pen has been worked hard the last 3 games with the SPs only going 2.1, 4.1 and 5 IP. I'd say only Bruihl, Sandlin, Green and Yariel are available today.

    I still give it to Judge. He's the most feared hitter on Earth. The surprise factor and being a C will probably get Raleigh some 1st place votes though and depending on how close they are by seasons end he could win it as people will be tired of Judge winning every year

    Its official now that he has enough throws to qualify...Barger's arm is the 100th percentile in arm strength in RF averaging 97.6 mph. 4 more throws from 3b and he will qualify for the 2b/SS/3b leader board too

    Its to be expected though i think in his case. 5th year in the system, development slowed to a crawl by injuries and hasn't progressed past A ball. He's still young enough at 22 that it could turn positive for sure, even if its as a reliever.

    His last 5 appearances have been in leads of 5 or more runs or blowout losses. That's treating him like he doesn't suck? He was warming today because he was literally the last pen arm available aside from Hoffman.
