    Look at some of Peyton Williams HR swings when you get a chance. They aren't as violent but, almost more like... controlled chaos looking and the ball just gets destroyed. There's a lot of meat behind it He's probably my most irrationally interesting prospect in the org Actually, not that I look at him more, his swing is quite reminiscent of Stairs also

    I have all the faith in the world in the pitching. What matters if they can score enough runs which is the same challenge they've faced all year long

    TO answer an earlier question about height now .. yes, seeing him stand in front of the ump there, he definitely looks to be 5'7'. But built like a brick sh*thouse. Those legs are THICK

IF he contacts the baseball Another dude that just crushes moonshots is Peyton Williams, the 6'5' 260+ pound Iowa Meat Truck who's up to AAA. Dude hits absolute tanks. But, sadly sucks at virtually every other aspect of the game lol Another guy hitting a ton of HRs in Dunedin of all places, Aldo Gaxiola. 6'2 1B, 20 years old. 17 HRs this season.

    If Bateman can be Kwan with the bat, the trade was a massive heist. I don't think he will be Kwan with the bat though, contact tool isnt on that level

    Frankly, from most of the pundits who are predicting the playoff series... yes, they predict the Brewers won't go as far as they could because they lack that game changing power. Look at the Jays playoffs last year, power is what put them over the top, they got those 2 and 3 run bombs when they had base runners on. Springer's bomb, Varsho's in the early part of the playoffs, Bo in the WS, Vlad .... all of those were needed to help Ernie's 800 singles turn into runs. Anything can happen in the playoffs, but yes, if you were handicapping the teams in the playoffs, the glaring hole in Milwaukee's lineup is game changing power. Cubs are kinda the opposite. PCA has pop but he can also go completely missing for a week at a time and be useless.

    Why would you risk any injury in blowout to a key player? No-brainer of a move in a blowout to give someone else some time Why would he? Everything i posted was logical and explained with reasoning. Its more the mindless and constant b*tching and moaning that gets called out

    They hit 62 HRs as a team in August. Thats More than half of the Jays current HR total as a team all season

    Not sure he was deliberately trying to miss in 2-0 and 3-1 counts with fastballs Seems more like he was giving in becasue he knew Bateman has no power, still missed his spot and Bateman bailed him out by swinging at borderline pitches.

    Bateman has definitely made some questionable swing decisions on his time up here. I hope he adjusts because pitchers will absolutely pick up on it and exploit it until he does ***edit*** Both his PAs tonight so far he had the count in his favour with ducks on the pond and swung at fastballs out of the zone for weak contact. Bases loaded, 2-0 swings at a very borderline pitch down. Weak contact. Gotta take that even if it gets called a strike. 2nd and 3rd, 3-1 count swings at a high fastball put of the zone. Weak contact. Young guy. Probably a bit amped up. Calm it down and wait for the pitch you can do some damage with, even if his best case damage is a double

    Thats just it. The majority of the owners offers have been playing into exactly this: bringing up the lowest paid guys to make more money at the expense of the biggest stars. Theyre trying to pit 80%-90% of the union to be like... why do we care if the Ohtani's or Vlad's or Tucker's have to take 5 less million per year over fewer years when we all get a big pay bump. Realistically, the owners offers as a whole so far actually would result in the entire player base making more total money on average, but it wouldnt be going to the biggest stars. Tellin ya, the owners are a step ahead this time around. If the players union was smart, they shoykd have already agreed amongst themselves to accept a cap/floor, but only agree if those cap/floor numbers are a tier or 2 higher than the owners lame-ass numbers of 171/245. Wait till they keep offering even more for the pre-arb guys, earlier FA, earlier rule 5, then say... deal, as long as your cap goes to 350 million, the floor starts at 200 and heres a list of alll the revenues that get included for the 50/50 revenue split.

    We need this to be the start of a nuclear streak by Vlad. That's the only way this team gets in Not trying to take away from Kirk or Springer or Kaz but... lets face it, when Vlad goes nuclear they just don't lose
