  1. Can say what ya want about the offense and Vlads struggles, but the pitching has been an absolute dumspter fire. Cant give up 1st inning runs and bring the offense to the field behind every f***ing game
  2. One would assume Keys takes the place of Sanchez, and also rotates through DH. Same amount of lefties in that case.
  3. Definitely. Good thing his own manager will be making the picks too.
  4. Moon with a good outing, 3.2 IP, 3 hits, 1BB, 1ER and 6 K Arias heating up in AA after a slow April and May, .845 OPS in June Harry and Keys are still on fire in Buffalo Parker and Sanchez on the right track for Dunedin. Perry hitting his first stretch of trouble at Vancouver with 10 ER allowed in his last 3 starts. Still racking up Ks though. King still good. Thompson Jr moved up to AA and doing well (SSS) All in all theres alot to like at pretty much every level.
  5. Varland doesnt deserve to go?
  6. Sosa has to be a release when his timer is up unless every other IF option is dead or dying of Ebola
  7. Thompson Jr with 5 more shutout innings in New Hampshire in his second start there. 1 hit and 2 BB allowed against 4 K. Brings him up to 9 shutout innings over his first 2 starts. Only 1 hit allowed. That doesnt suck
  8. Cheers mate! Hope you get to see one of very rare Jays wins at the Trop when you are in attendance
  9. They need another one other than Clement?
  10. I mean, he's probably a nothing burger long term, but how many catchers does the complex team even need? Besides, he doesnt even have to change anything other than when to show up at the park.
  11. If he hit ball in the exact same gap with the bases empty in the top of the first he would definitely not have tried for third. To me, that rule is the exact reason it should have been scired a double. So, the fact that he was only doing it trying for the cycle shouldn't be a factor.
  12. Looking at some older video of Toman shows he has changed his stance a bit this season.prebuosuky he was standing very upright in the box whereas now he's leaning in and a bit more compact. The HRs he's been hitting lately aren't wallscrapers either, they've been big boy HRs waaay out of the park
  13. Hell, you could hit 5 singles in a row and not score. Single, single to RF with lead runner thrown out at 3rd and batter still at 1b, single to RF with lead runner thrown out at third again and batter stays at 1b, single, single. Bases loaded, 2 outs, 5 singles in a row, no runs. Vlad pops out to 3rd. That would be the single most 2026 Blue Jay inning i can imagine
  14. But all calls get reviewed after the fact by MLB as well amd may be changed. things get changed from hits to errors, errors to hits or triples to doubles + error just as a few examples. I doubt theyd change the scoring on that play since it resulted in a cycle, but... yeah it was clearly a double with advancing to 3rd on the throw. It was the left centre gap, Harper probably couldnt leg out a legit triple in the right centre gap unless it took a bad hop off the wall.
  15. Yeah, would be nice to see where rhe stuff is sitting. Probably give him a good 7-10 outings before even trying to judge though
  16. Tiedemann has survived another appearance. WS will be easy to make now
  17. Not super interesting yet but the 22 year old Italian catcher they signed this year has 6 HR in his first 50 PA at the complex. He should probably be bumped up a level.
  18. Came here to say almast exactly this, but i'd have used far more insults and expletives Every team in baseball gets nuked like 10-15 times every year. Easiest games in the world to just get over and move past.
  19. 4-5 with 2 doubles. HR and a single. Swinging a hot bat for sure
  20. Yes, but his size still increases injury risk over and above the usual catcher injury risk. So far we havent seen that extra risk turn into anything, but it's still there
  21. He is now. Sent Dallas down and called up Little to get another lefty for this series. Fluharty has pitched in back to back games now so its probably a prudent move. Lets just hope he's figured at least a little something out
  22. I mean, every catcher is typically a higher injury risk than other players so trying to your backup into more games as a DH probably isnt a great way to keep him as healthy as possible to cover for the current starting catcher who's even more injury risk thanks to his eating habits. That, and if this team is going to go anywhere it needs Springer to get right. He can't do that on the bench
