  1. Would be 3rd day in a row for Fluharty. low pitch counts the last 2 games but... still
  2. Attaboy Ernie. LOL swinging strikeout on 4 pitches, none of which were close to the zone.
  3. When a reliever has lost it to that level, they rarely get it back. He still probably signs a minor league deal somewhere.
  4. Hard to play matchups against Cleveland hitters too with 4 switch hitters in the lineup
  5. Nance, Mantiply, Hoffman and Miles remaining. This will be interesting
  6. i dont think anyone sees Schneider as a slightly plus defender at 2b. He's about as average as it gets.
  7. Ernie feeds on first pitch anywhere near the general vicinity of the plate.
  8. I'll never understand why hitters just stand there and take 92 down the middle for a strike on the first pitch of an AB.
  9. Watch some of his highlight reels, alot of of his Ks are guys swinging at fastballs up at the shoulders too. Not taking away from his stuff, which is legit, but there's still a lot of free swingers in High A.
  10. You are correct on the Polar Bear Peyton WIlliams, the walking land mass is just coming back from injuries he sustained late last season in AA.
  11. Correct. Pinango is coming up. Lukes to 10-day
  12. Mailing stuff to players to sign is full cringe. Man up and send your kid to guilt him into signing it at the ballpark like everyone else
  13. True, but if youre getting it from a guy who is 8th on the depth chart... you're grading on a bit of a sliding scale.
  14. Since being sent to Buffalo, Little has pitched 7 scoreless innings, struck out 12 and walked 4. Also, 3-0 He'll be the new closer by June
  15. Its in the rulebook sir. Can't catch a ball with anything other than your glove or your bare hand. It's a dead ball in fair territory so... a hit.
  16. In ST he was back up to touching 95. Not sure what he is at sitting at though
  17. Just pull a John MacDonald and send Sosa himself back as the PTBNL. Is that still allowed?
  18. Varsho please (Which of course means Gimenez is going deep)
  19. Can't really be helped where they are in the standings given their injuries. There's only so much depth you can have before bending turns into breaking. So far, they've bent, but not broke which is encouraging. A decent 4 or 5 game winning streak or a winning 6-of-7 would help put the casuals at ease for sure. Are they below expectations? Sure. But the reality is, every team in the league has a 20 game stretch where they go 8-12 or 7-13 regardless of how great, good or bad they are. When it happens at the start of the season after coming as close as possible to a WS win, any faltering is going to be dissected to death like it means something that it probably doesn't Really need some BP consistency though. SP has been excellent. Offense is riding the BABIP/RISP train since the power hasn't really shown up yet. Defense has been uncharacteristically below expectations but not really concerned with that over the course of the long season.
  20. Nimmala went oppo taco yesterday for his 3rd HR. Avridge not so hot but the power still there
  21. Van is just humid and hot in the summer, ball doesnt fly as well. New Hampshire RF porch is 306 and only 353 to right centre. To say its lefty power friendly is an understatement. To put that in perspective, that's 8 feet shorter in RF and 43 feet shorter than Yankee Stadium's joke dimensions in the same spots.
