  1. Whats messed up... the video highlights from that game had his double, but not his triple. Kinda weird.
  2. I'm not overly optimistic on today's game as the Yankees hitters historically have crushed Corbin, Jays hitters have very few total ABs against Weathers (15 for the entire roster combined) and they tend to not do well against guys they haven't seen much of. The key against Weathers is getting to his fastball, since it sucks. he throws both a 4 seam and a sinker around 95, but both of them get crushed. Change is about average, it's his slider and sweeper that are his bread and butter pitches for limiting damage. Key on the fastball and you'll have a good day. Swing at his breakers, you won't. Sweeper - 50% whiff rate. Slider - 40% whiff rate 4seam - 22% whiff rate, Sinker 10% whiff rate.
  3. Gonna roll with Straw if he starts. Bench if he doesn't.
  4. I just want to see a fat dude leg out a triple. I'm not saying he's anything special. I also need no education on the minors, I live in the minor league box scores and metrics sites.
  5. Peyton Williams, not exactly the prototypical leadoff hitter at 6'5" 260 (and thats probably light by a few) hit a triple tonight. I need to see this footage
  6. Why do the Dodgers trade for seemingly every Jays DFA guy? Also... how do you trade a guy + cash to the f***ing Dodgers. They spend 800 million every year and they want cash? 😂
  7. Yup. Pinango clearly yelling for it the whole way, and was looking up at the ball so he would never see Gimenez waving. OF ball
  8. My head says Bench... But ill take Varsho
  9. Missed that challenge by 0.1 inches. Ya love to see it
  10. Those are sexy. That really good IVB fastball must make that breaker that starts out at the top of the zone just look like it vanishes.
  11. Yeah, save the cockfighting for the post-game showers fellas.
  12. Im gonna swing for the fences with the ol bench
  13. And, perhaps more importantly for King, just 69 pitches. Thats pretty efficient
  14. Arias 3-3 and was a double short of the cycle. Moved his AA OPS up to 1.731 SSS but damn Juan Sanchez has homered twice in the past 5 games to go with 4 walks. Hopefully he's starting to make the adjustment.
  15. Feels like a walk-off slam is gonna be a few points for the Varsho pickers
  16. Hopefully the start of a tear where he jacks 5-7 HRs over the next 3 weeks or so
  17. Walk off oppo salami on a fastball up...by Varsho. Not gonna lie. Did not see that coming
  18. Rasmussen is one of the new "3-fastball" starters relying primarily on a cutter, 4 seamer, and sinker, adding in the occasional change, an even more occasional curve and a nearly non-existant sweeper. Doesnt walk people and doesnt get barrelled.
  19. Also going to have this problem again when Yimi is ready later in the month Optionable guys are... Fluharty, Fisher, Mantiply and Varland. Obviously Varland isnt going anywhere Nance would need to be DFA, Miles would need to be offered back on Rule 5. Mantiply probably down 1st for Yarial then a Nance DFA for Yimi. Though injuries have a way of working the pen out naturally
  20. Berrios to the 60 day IL probably, then an option of someone?
  21. That could be good but getting those results at AAA where lineups are full of free swingers at breaking balls out of the zone, maybe not the best indicator. Do we have data on his zone rates?
  22. Whats the new mix? They trying the "3-fastball" mix that is looking like it might be the new rage?
