  1. I think it depends on whether he makes the adjustments they need him to make. Teams have figured out the giant glaring hole in his swing, so either Francisco has to develop the ability to lay off that breaking stuff, or figure out how to hit it. There will still be the mistake pitches that he'll crush, but they'll become fewer and further between if he doesn't adjust. More time is needed to see if he can do it
  2. Game 66 Reyes (3pts) -aselvana Melky (2pts) - JaysAllMighty Bautista (1pt) - Jonn, jays4life19, vdub, JG34,baseballsss Lind (3pts) - flafson, Dylan, Spanky99 Eddy (1pt) - Deadpool, bowld Juan (2pts) - Angrioter, GD, o2cui2i, G-Snarls, Chappy, johnhavok Lawrie (1pt) - Orgfiller, LetTheBallFly Navarro (5pts) - Gose (8pts) - Pillar (8pts)
  3. You know this "bi-polar group" is rally just a small portion of the board. The majority is just fine.
  4. Stupid bunt... Kratz probably can't score from second on a single anyways, and Gose would be hard to double up if swings away and puts it on the ground.
  5. Gibbons playing with fire here, if Kratz gets hurt and the game goes past this inning , we're screwed
  6. I think Pillar's complete f***ing bonehead dive is worse than Tolleson not getting the ball out of the glove. Tolleson was just unfortunate, Pillar was f***ing retarded.
  7. For the most part yes, but catchers are longer than your typical position player since they throw just as much as the pitcher, granted at lower velo. Longer recovery than say a second baseman or 1b might take by far.
  8. Not sure what Halloween has to do with it, but it was a nice effort up to that point.
  9. Gose just needs more experience and pick his spots better. With the lead off man up and 1 out with a lefty on the mound, it's just not a smart time to try and steal. He'll learn. The positive sign was this time he hit on base rather than chase s***** pitches and striking out like earlier in the game in almost the same situation.
  10. Boom. I think Ang's experience at winning last year gives him the experience to make clutch picks and not be fazed, that's why I threw in with him. That and Reyes had absolutely murdered Nolasco in his career
  11. If.... If..... Yes goins would be valuable at .250/.300, but when he can barely do it at AAA at 25 and isn't even doing it right now in AAA at 26, there's really No reason to expect he's capable of it in the majors.
  12. Yeah it will certainly be interesting, targeting rentals isn't really AA's MO
  13. Reyes (4pts) - vdub, Angrioter,baseballsss, Gen.Disarray, johnhavok Melky (2pts) - Bautista (1pt) - G-Snarls Eddy (1pt) - bowld, flafson Lind (3pts) - Jonn, GD, Dylan, Orgfiller, jays4life19, Spanky99, Chappy Navarro (5pts) - Lawrie (1pt) - Juan (2pts) - Atothe, BBBB Gose (8pts) -LetTheBallFly, wilko
  14. Very dangerous assertion. Pitching is volatile as hell.
  15. Wouldn't be a problem for AA, apparently he's targeting rentals this year
  16. Ranges from about 1100 per month in the low minors, and AAA salaries start at 2150 per month when it's your first year there. The only real money being made in the minors is when teams sign guys who have played in the majors before on minor league deals. they earn 6 figures generally, but it's low 6 figures. The up and coming kids make sweet f*** all and unless they have a huge signing bonus or a wealthy family background, they don't make enough to be considered above the poverty line.
  17. Jack Z couldn't make those trades even if he wanted too, he spent every spare cent they had on Cano to get them an extra 3 or 4 wins.
  18. Maybe Machado's actions are a disgrace, but so's your beard Norris. You look like a homeless hippie.
  19. Yeah they get this way sometimes, seems like they're so intent on working counts they forget to swing at the crushable ones.
  20. I never said it was malicious or bias. Just pointing out facts. Very inconsistant strike zone that favoured the Cardinals was a factor. hutch not pitching well was a much bigger factor.
  21. Not when it's that obvious. If someone shows up for legit conversation, by all means. When it's so obvious they're just trolling... Punt them without prejudice.
  22. Yep. Doesn't matter if we lose this series, just win the next one.
  23. http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/zoneTrack.php?month=6&day=08&year=2014&game=gid_2014_06_08_slnmlb_tormlb_1/&prevDate=0608 Borderline strike calls, 7-3 in favour of StL.
  24. Just need to get them kids signed. Love the approach, but get it done.
