  1. It would be just the epic shitstorm if a patented Buehrle blowup happened today.
  2. Nice discipline by Jose here. Good out pitch by Gausman, but still saw a lot of pitches. Bodes well for later in the game.
  3. Just pushing way too hard, Jays need to relax and let the game happen. Just no need to try taking that base there. Tabler - I have no problem with that from Reyes. Seriously.... He was out be 6 feet, it's not like it was close.
  4. Jesus jerry... Ball 3 to Melky was obvious.... Should be on first and second already...
  5. Yep. Split bare minimum, 3/4 would be great. A sweep would be insane.
  6. I just think Zobrist's 4+ WAR days are over.
  7. No doubt. I almost want Washington to do it just to see that rotation destroy the world.
  8. Washington could really try to go all in if they were willing to part with Giolito. I doubt the Rays would settle for Cole even though he's still pretty good. Top 5 of Price, Strasburg, Zimmerman, Gio and Fister....
  9. Cubs wouldn't, they're in the middle of a rebuild and actively trying to trade Shark, next year they'd just be trying to trade Price. The As can't afford his next arb deal. I Agee the Cards have the prospects, but they also don't do those types of trades bringing in guys for 1 year. Yankees just dont have the prospects.
  10. I wouldn't. Not because I don't think Zobrist wouldn't be good, but because there's no way any other team would be offering a top 50 prospect for him, so why would the Jays need to?
  11. First off, nothing Zaun says is interesting. Second, I love the idea to trade for both, but giving up Stroman and Sanchez to do it doesn't make sense, price takes stroman's spot on the rotation and you're still running Happ out the every 5th day. So you improve a bit from Stroman to Price until the end of next season and you've given the Rays a very good pitcher for the next 5 years, and Happ is still throwing like a retard. The whole point of trading to improve the rotation is to get Happ the f*** out of it, not make a marginal improvement over Stroman. Zobrist on his own has a lot of value, but how he gets his value is not typically something that fetches a big return in trade, so while he would be a good target, there no way I'd give up a top tier arm as the centrepiece of a deal, especially when he's walking into FA after next year, no chance they get a pick by offering the QO, There wouldn't likely be any want to re-sign him either given his age, and the fact that he's not having a good year. All of that together, Right now he's a buy-mid to buy-low type of asset. Top tier talent in return would not be necessary
  12. Heard it way too much in spring trading... Tu-wee-ass-a-so-pooooooo
  13. This surprises me.... Not the toasted part but the ice tea coolers... He seems more like a beer man
  14. Reyes (3pts) - o2cui2i, Melky (2pts) - johnhavok Bautista (1pt) jays4life19, baseballs, Edwin (1pt) - Jonn, flafson Lind (3pts) - Dylan, GD, Spanky99, Angrioter, JG34, Chappy, G-Snarls Lawrie (1pt) - Orgfiller Juan (2pts) - JaysAllMighty Navarro (5pts) - Kratz (4pts) - Gose (8pts) - Mastro (8pts) -
  15. This is such a fallacy. AAA hitters are better than AA hitters, and AAA pitchers are better than AA hitters, so why people think AA is better for prospects is a mystery to me. AA is supposed to separate the wheat from the chaffe, but it doesn't mean that AA is a higher skill level of baseball as a whole.
  16. Hope Grichuk gets it going here, his numbers just as good as Oscar, and only 1 year older, but is struggling at the bigs.
  17. Wow, Great catch by Kiermaier saves probably 3 runs in the Rays game.
  18. Little bit early to be anointing Pompey as the CF of the future. Yes he's having a decent year in HighA but the jump to AA is huge, let alone AAA and then the majors. He's also going to be burning option years starting next season as he'll be Rule 5 eligible after this season and I'm sure the Jays will be protecting him.
  19. I'm not sure. I mean, every year there's unsigned players that were eligible for the draft that don't get drafted and become free agents, but I'm not sure if that applies to high school age kids.
