Setting up a double play with a really good platoon matchup isn't exactly a bad move. Very rarely does it not work out... This is just one of those times, and the DP is still in order

The same argument could be applied against you, why mortgage the future for the chance(because it's not guaranteed as we saw last year) for a win now trade? There's a happy medium in between where you grow your own talent, supplement with free agents and not gave to re-sign all the guys that head to free agency. Could use them to trade for additional prospects to refill the minors when needed, and the then as the team gets older new young guys come in to start a new core, supplement with free agents... Etc etc.

Why no RHP warming also? It's not like you don't have a well rested pen right now. It's one thing that's always puzzled me about gibbons, you almost never see 2 relievers warming at the same time.

f***ing Dickey. Gibbons should have multiple guys already warming up. This is a game you can't give away because you want to be nice to your starter. This is another series win if they hang on.

The two aren't even close when it comes to pure hitting ability, Lind is far superior. But Francisco actually murders baseballs when/if he makes contact.
