  1. He did, then he didn't anymore because the game was tied and his manager was old school and wanted to stick with him to see if he could get the SP the W.
  2. . I don't care how likeable he is as a person. He's a s***** MLB player, we lost Leo Jiminez cause management wouldn't send him down and now Pinango who literally did everything he could to stay with the Jays is being sent down, to keep a guy hitting .127. Unreal! I can't believe you're not a major league manager. Truly mystifying
  3. You don't think living in the DR your entire life, then moving to Dunedin at 18 or 19 isnt much of a culture shock? Good god man... Whether it's the reason for his struggles or just a part of it is debateable, but the fact there is absolutely a culture shock is not
  4. Springer (4) Clement (10)- mphenhef vlad (4) - Landry, Omar Kaz (4) - Jonn, Spanky Sosa (8) - gruber Varsho (4) Straw (14) Davis (6) Valenzuela (8) Bench (20) John_Havok
  5. Avg exit velo off this guy is 93.5 Throws slider, 4 seam, change as his main 3, occasional curve and sinker. Jays have never seen him before so i anticipate 1 time through the order he dominates, 2nd time through gives up 5+ ER and out of the game after 4.1
  6. I think expectimg a similar run in 2025 is reasonable, but the problem is now they also need to count on 5+ teams getting markedly worse at the same time. That is probably the part that isn't as realistic. The Os actually filled some holes for a change, Tampa is doing their usual Tampa things, Yankees haven't had their old-age month yet. Seattle is legit. Im not a White Sox believer though, I think they'll slide. Detroit, bit of a wildcard since they have to trade Skubal or theyre insane, but they might just be dumb enough to keep him. I think Tampa slides a bit because thats what they do every year towards the deadline when they trade half their 26 man roster. A ton rides on Caminero staying healthy. Texas... Athletics... im not sold yet but Athletics are the scarier of the 2. Cleveland is the same as theyve always been and will likely end up beween 82-85 wins in the annually weak central. So, Jays can go on a run, but unless at least 5 of those teams above go tits up, they still wouldnt make it.
  7. Fair and reasonable. I wonder what the micro looks like ... like, do they tell him, you have 60 pitches to get as far as you can, or you're going to go 4, don't worry about the pitch count so much. Somewhere in between?
  8. That could be an explanation in that they want to see more efficiency, but at the same time they're slowing down his stamina development keeping him at 60. It would seem more prudent to keep increasing the pitch counts even if he's not being incredibly efficient. He is a bit of a unit at 6'3" 210 so maybe they don't have those stamina concerns and are confident he can ramp up quickly if needed.
  9. I'm just wondering when they're gonna lift the reigns of Johnny King a bit. Kid is still being limited to 55-60 pitches per outing and he's had 5 starts this season. Last night's start he was through 4 innings at 56 pitches (so under 15 pitches per inning which is good) and lifted.
  10. Bello spamming the backdoor sinkers to RHB and they just staring at it
  11. And even further down the ladder...Barriera has been healthy for like 20 minutes now. He's gotta be a pure reliever at this point also
  12. Wissinger has a pretty interesting delivery too. Like his limbs are just flailing everywhere and he comes over the top
  13. For the time he was here can't really be too disappointed. 0 power sure but he still knocked in a few with his pool noodle bat
  14. Left elbow soreness in ST. MRI was clean. They shut him down as a precaution and he was cleared to start throwing recently. So... rehabbing at the facility, likely some complex league games when they start up as he ramps up his pitch count and works his way back to his next injury in Buffalo in mid to late June
  15. Glad to see Springer back...but why activate and put him on the bench? f*** it, its good news and the Jays need him. Tarps off. Police horse. Lets f***ing goooooo!
  16. Crochet to the IL with shoulder inflammation
  17. Anorher 20 games and it will be a full season worth of PAs (roughly) at high-a. That should be enough to gauge if hes ready to make the jump. That said, the Jays (like every other team)have their checklist of things a guy needs to tick before he moves up. We'll see if that list gets completed soon or not.
  18. Im currently unemployed and in university. Shows what you know.
  19. Find me one post where I stated anything about the Braves rotation. I'll wait.
  20. Imagine that when only 2 of the starting 5 started the season on the roster. Shocking.
