  1. Not saying he deserves it, but he's a MIF already on the 40 man
  2. Pretty much any pitcher who isn't hurt, plus Alford, Smith Jr, maybe Urena and Jansen
  3. Seems aggressive to me though maybe they think the hitter haven California League wouldn't really tell them anything if he was moved there
  4. Tatis Jr was skipped overy High A and will report to AA as an 18 year old. Good or bad move?
  5. So, over the last 10 games, the Jays are 7-3. At the start of the Yankees series, which started this 7-3 run, the jays were 5 games out with 7 teams in front of them for the 2nd wildcard. 10 games later after playing .700 ball, they've gained 2 games, but still have 7 teams either ahead or tied with them as 2 of those other teams have also gone 7-3. I like optimism, but the odds are still very long
  6. Osuna is a dicey situation. It's arguable that the jays could make another push towards the playoffs next year with a few moves. If the needed moves happen and theres even some chance of a bounce back from Tulo, travis being healthy more than 10 minutes. ...then maybe hanging onto Osuna makes sense. Plus, if they're again out of it by the deadline, he's very tradeable assuming his arm hasn't blown out
  7. So would that be ball 1 or ball 2?
  8. Birkdale is having a really s***** night, that's wasn't even close to a foul tip
  9. Wow, third post in a row from me that starts with wow!
  10. You missed my point. But yes, that's probably true. Impact talent is only ever coming here via trade or draft, until this team starts to sustain a winner
  11. I mean like a legit robot that stands behind home plate and calls balls and strikes based on some infrared strike zone that only he can see. He could be programmed to argue with the managers and throw them out if a certain threshold of anger is detected. Thye could be set to look and act like Leslie Neilson from Naked Gun The only downside would be the inevitable complaints that the bots are programmed to favour the Yankees and Red Sox
  12. I mean real robo Umps, not the s*** they use on TV
  13. Speaks volumes when both sides hate the strike zone. Robo Umps!
  14. Having baby soft sensitive skin is not a step down.
  15. It also doesn't mean racetrack. It means run, running, .... race. Theres no track. Or career...depending on its usage.
  16. Had that been the first comment/joke, it would have played better. Now it's just... meh
  17. Vladdy 3/4 with a triple and 4 RBI tonight
  18. I say trade him to Colorado so we can see a 600 foot HR one day
  19. Ian Kinsler on umpire Angel Hernandez: Speaking to reporters, Kinsler said that Hernandez, who has been a major league umpire since 1993, "needs to re-evaluate his career choice" because he's "messing with baseball games." "I'm surprised at how bad an umpire he is," Kinsler said, according to the Detroit News. "I don't know how, for as many years he's been in the league, that he can be that bad. He needs to re-evaluate his career choice, he really does. Bottom line. "If I get fined for saying the truth, then so be it. He's messing with baseball games, blatantly." Kinsler was tossed while batting in the fifth inning of Monday's 6-2 loss to the Texas Rangers. According to the Detroit News, Kinsler questioned a strike that was called on the first pitch of his at-bat, telling Hernandez it was a strike only because he called it a strike. After the second pitch was called a ball, Kinsler turned to Hernandez and said, "What about that one?" Hernandez ejected Kinsler. Tigers manager Brad Ausmus, who ran onto the field in Kinsler's defense, was also tossed. "This has to do with changing the game," said Kinsler, who claims he has had problems with Hernandez since his rookie season in 2006. "He's changing the game. He needs to find another job. He really does." Asked if he and Hernandez had a personal issue, Kinsler said, "I'm not mad at him. He just needs to go away." Kinsler told reporters that he believes Hernandez missed eight obvious calls against both teams in Monday's game. "Not just borderline calls here and there," Kinsler said. "There's arguments on those every game. There are pitches every game where if you call it a strike, the hitter's going to be mad; and if you call that same pitch a ball, the pitcher's going to be mad. Umpires have to deal with that every game. "But when it becomes blatant like this, there is a problem. ... What is he doing on the field? What is he doing out there? It's pretty obvious he needs to stop ruining baseball games."
