Lawrie couldn't make the adjustments that he needed to make after the pitchers adjusted to him. That's what separates the guys who are good enough to make if to MLB, from those that are good enough to stay

True, but it's also not insurmountable. People tend to forget that there's incredible amounts of luck(both bad and good), sequencing(both bad and good) and random s*** that happens every season. Key injuries, players emerging out of nowhere... As long as you have a solid core in place and under control and don't put yourself in a position that you need a complete top to bottom overhaul, your team is likely in the cusp of at least the wildcard conversation. Add in some well thought out additions and not get injury f***ed... this team is not that far out.

Maybe not, but having Tulo and Martin already on the books really limits what you can do, plus you can pretty much guarantee JD will only get 1 chance at free agency and won't be letting it go by without shopping around.

Jays will need probably 2 additional pitchers at Least as good as, if not better than Stroman if they want to contend. And that's not a knock on Stroman, just a fact of life in baseball these days. A 4 WAR ace just isn't good enough. If Sanchez can be healthy, maybe he's one of them, but any thoughts of contention you just need that guy that's in the 6+ WAR area

I don't get the big deal either. First off, Trump, despite being a f***ing moron, has the same rights to free expression that everyone else does. If he wants to say that players should be fired for kneeling... big f***ing deal. The same amendment that the protesters point to to support their protest, is the same amendment that Trump uses on a minute by minute basis. Sure, what he says 99% of the time is stupid, not thought out, simplistic and moronic and he should definitely be spending his time trying to figure out what his job as President should actually entail, but this outrage is just getting boring.

I'm not sure how prevalent it is in the lower minors to have 8 guys share an apartment, but even 1 instance of this is pathetic. These are still people that you employ and they're being treated like garbage

Vancouver won game 4 by a score of 2-1 to win the NWL Championship last night. Logan Warmoth hit a 2 run single in the 5th to take the lead back and it held from there.

Vancouver won 2-1 last night to take a 2-1 series lead in their NWL best of 5 finals. Pearson threw 4 innings, gave up 1 ER on 3 hits, 2 walks and 4 K, then the pen took over and threw 5 shutout innings on 1 hit, 2 walks and 6 K.

Urena will start him in AAA and he will take over for either Travis or Tulo when they inevitably get hurt. He won't be a starter if both are healthy unless Shatkins can work a miracle and trade Tulo, or they decide to move on and trade Travis. I think the chances of either of those trades is pretty low though. -

Too bad you're not displaying much common sense. Blown saves happen to closers at the best if times. A dink hit there, s***** walk there, bad sequencing .... yeah, he's to blame because he's on the mound and throwing the pitches but just looking at a BS number is never the only important stat for a closer. 60 innings he's only given up 3 HR and 9 walks while striking out 76. That's f***ing dominance. I'll take that in the 9th inning any day of the week. Btw, he blew 6 saves last season, so 4 more doesn't make or break a team's fortunes, though having the worst offense and 3rd worst defense in the AL certainly will.
