  1. 3 ball is working tonight. It's a shooting gallery Getting a couple Ws in these games is key since they go on a 6 game road trip with the first 2 in San Antonio and Golden State... and ending against the Wizards.
  2. As would I, which really is the absolute worst case scenario for Washington. 1 draft pick for a generational talent leaving. Seems like the "best" of the s***** options is actually resign him to a gigantic contract that you know eventually becomes an albatross. I can't fathom the backlash that would happen if he was traded before the end of next season. I actually hope for the trade just for the firestorm it would create
  3. Can you imagine only getting a draft pick back for a Harper leaving? Do you trade him in the offseason? Trade him midseason? Resign to a monstrous deal for 400 million dollars over the next 12 years that will inevitably suck? Or keep him all year and let him go, getting only a draft pick as compensation? Are any of those even what you would call good options? If you're Washington, you basically have to decide which one of those sucks the least
  4. He's the same guy who Jose Bautista called out on twitter a few years ago after Simmons made criticisms. Jose responded with "who are you and why are you talking to me." Though maybe that's why you wrote you role the way you did, referencing that. Basically he's a dipshit dinosaur, who would probably vote for guys like Matt Stairs to be in the Hall of Fame
  5. It's weird they would announce it during the playoffs that he's still involved in though. Usually they would wait until Houston is out to make any announcement
  6. It would, but imagine them trading Gardner and Robertson to free up another 25 million and it doesn't seem too difficult. They might end up with a stars and scrubs lineup though which probably isn't ideal
  7. Shiiiiiit. That's like ... Psycho Sid snapping his leg level gross.
  8. It's possible, but it would still take monumental injuries on the Celtics and Cavs or just catastrophic failure in order for it to happen. The Raps shooting guard still can't shoot a 3 ball.
  9. Only partially a joke. Sabathia, Holliday, Garcia, Pineda and Frazier are all FAs after this year, with 70 million off the books, Gardner in 2 years (likely) and Headley and Robertson after next season.. thats another 38 million. Their arbitration guys aren't going to end up taking a massive chunk of that, with Sanchez, Judge and Severino still pre-arb. Just saying they could probably make it work if they got creative enough
  10. Yankees. Then they sign Machado and Harper and win the WS for the next 10 years.
  11. Guys like Stanton don't get claimed on revocable waivers simply because they know he will get pulled back in a heartbeat. It's not because of valuations. Basically, the Marlins put him on waivers because they want other GMs to call them and guage interest in him for potential offseason moves.
  12. Because baseball players are stupid and think sliding will somehow get you to 1st faster than running through.... despite it not being possible
  13. So I'm reading that you want to trade for Stanton and Gordon... but the best player you're offering up is Travis, and the best prospect is Pearson? I get the salary thing in both guys but that doesn't mean you get to offer junk. No offense, but that offer would be laughed off the phone.
  14. The offseason started for the Jays in August
  15. His bat would be like the bare minimum you want from your catcher.
  16. That doesn't start until the world series is over
  17. It's still a giant dick move to say you'd rather be managing somewhere else while you're under contract with a team to be their manager.
  18. Lol, hope he busts that out in the majors one day.
  19. God f***ing dammit! unless he retains catcher eligibility....then yay!
  20. So is every playoff game taking 5 hours or does it just seem that way?
  21. Not that it couldn't be true, but there's not really a smoking gun in a person being reassigned to the NHL from the Jays when baseball is over and hockey begins. Plus... this website has the credibility of belly button lint.
  22. Yeah but the LF has to get that ball, it looks like he was barely moving
  23. I think Houston vs LA would be my ideal WS that I might actually watch.
  24. You feeling okay? Even for you that 3 paragraph reply to my post was overly verbose.
  25. Speaking of Prince, it appears the Rangers have negotiated a settlement with their insurance company regarding Fielder's contract so they could actually release him, recover that roster spot and still get money to pay a bunch of his salary.... which is still on the books for another 3 seasons through 2020.
