  1. TJ Zeuch scheduled to start the AFL championship game tomorrow. Gurriel and jonathan Davis also in the starting lineup.
  2. Double your meds.
  3. And yet Vlad was better... Anyways, I wonder if AA has learned not to blow his prospect load on 36 year old pitchers. Braves could be a very good team in short order given their youth
  4. Might work in the regular season, but come playoff time you need those top end guys
  5. What dimension is that though? Not being sarcastic, I just dont see it. He isn't good defensively, he's okay at rebounding for a big... not great offensively or a good shot blocker for his size, really his best attribute is his free throw shooting. Part of me also hates him for constantly bellowing whenever he gets brushed by anyone going to the rim.
  6. I'm not sure about above average starter for Delon, but he's already a very capable backup who can defend really well. Maybe if he takes that next step mentally and starts to look for his offence rather than deferring to others all the time he will step into starting territory. But your overall point is well made, the last few years of drafting and development have been top notch for a team that hasn't been picking anywhere near the top half of the draft. Getting their own g league team was essential for that.they wasted 2 years of Bruno's development having him rostered on another team that had no interest in developing him
  7. Just spit my drink halfway across the room... Rofl
  8. Check out his Wikipedia page First line: Ogugua "OG" Anunoby Jr. (born July 17, 1997) is a Nigerian professional basketball player for the Toronto Raptors of the National Basketball Association and is currently the greatest player in the world.
  9. Not even 100% yet and he's showing like a beast. Now if Bruno develops into a starter... look out
  10. Anunoby is going to be really f***ing good one day very soon
  11. Relevant from fangraphs: https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/where-ohtani-would-make-the-most-impact/
  12. I'm sure there's probably multiple teams that are trying to figure out what they'd have to do to offer him something like that. The problem becomes.... what happens if one of the sides of the ball doesn't work out and he still wants to do both... Does he want absolute assurance that he will be able to pitch and hit for the entire duration of his contract? Or does he only want assurance that he will be given that chance... and if it doesn't work out then he will focus on one or the other? And if that's the case, how do they determine how long him doing both would be considered a fair chance? Spring training ? Half a season? 2 Seasons? Without knowing exactly what his demands are, it's hard to speculate on what any team is prepared to offer him
  13. So many strawmen and false equivalenvies in this thread. AA doesn't get immunity from criticism just because he was at the helm for 2 playoff appearances for the first time in 25 years. Criticisms of the forest doesn't mean you don't like some of the trees.
  14. There was a very obvious plan when he first took over, it just seemingly changed overnight. Let's not forget that aside from stockpiling picks using the free agent type A/B loopholes he also increased the scouting staff immensely from where it was under Ricciardi. He did everything right to start building a team that could be a consistent competing team.... then did a complete 180 with the Dickey and Florida trades and basically set the team back 5+ years in terms of development
  15. I don't have a problem with Demar taking the final shot, but it's gotta be a better shot and setup than that. Everyone is the NBA knows he does the fake to his ball hand side then the turn around fade away garbage. Even Leo "everything Derozan does is right" Rautins pointed out the easy lane drive he passed up on the final possession when he first caught the ball and his defender out of position to stop it. But instead he waited, let him get set, and did the Derozan special, inevitably resulting in a miss.
  16. The thing with Otani is that he will get to pick where he plays since money isn't really going to be prohibitive for any team, since he falls under the July 2 signing cap. Whoever has money left can take their best shot but realistically he will pick whatever team offers him the chance to do what he wants to do as a player.
  17. Halladay's plane was the first of the 2018 model year to be delivered to a buyer also
  18. Maybe, but the loss is not on his shoulders. Just because he couldn't make up for every other failure in the last 2 minutes ... Without Irving and Hayward and they still cant beat the Celtics. Get ready for another 2nd round playoff exit
  19. That's all he can do. And he, along with a s***** playcall from Casey (shocking) cost the raps the game.
  20. 3/65 is hardly a bad contract for guy like him. With all the money in the NBA these days that's pretty much market rate.
  21. I agree, but that doesn't let him off the hook when it comes to what he is as a player in today's NBA. He's not the superstar that the media hypes him as, and as long as he is counted on to be the man, this team won't be winning a championship unless he dractically changes his game, which at this point in his career is highly unlikely
  22. Keep Jansen, not sure how you'd not protect a guy who hit as well as he did last season over 3 levels as a catcher. McGuire doesn't really matter....he doesn't move the needle. Pentecost is a tricky one, there's pretty legit arguments on both sides. Pannone is a keeper for sure IMO. Maybe a late bloomer, but either way he throws left handed and misses bats enough to be cheap starting depth. Definitely keep imo
  23. And yet what is he being asked to be in Toronto? The central building block franchise player.
  24. His defense will never be a plus though, hes not a black hole anymore, but that never going to be a real part of his game. He's a pure 1 dimensional scorer at the most inefficient type of shot and that's just not a guy that you can build a championship team around IMO
