  1. The same money applies. Tulo cannot make more money than he is already guaranteed from his contract with the Jays. That's why he will not get anything from any other team other than a league minimum deal, because why would that team want to absolve the Jays of their financial responsibility? And why would they want to pay more than the minimum?
  2. Never heard him say the word retire, just that he would "go home." He'd be monumentally stupid to give up 40 million dollars
  3. You reek of elderberries.
  4. Apparantly his role will be a focus on working with the catchers
  5. You know damn well that would be a anthropomorphized cannabis leaf on fire if it was allowed. One can only dream
  6. There are probably less than 3 key pieces of a championship team on the Jays right now, that doesn't mean you just trade the rest for what appears to be well below market value. A 1.5-2 WAR shortstop with 4 years of team control shouldn't be what you give up acquire a guy like Thornton regardless of whether you view him as a key piece or not. How many players on Boston would you consider to be key pieces of the championship team? Certainly Betts, Sale, Martinez, the closer, Xander, Benintendi... Name the rest of the key pieces, then look at the rest and ask yourself if you'd trade any one of them for Thornton, then realize what an idiotic statement you just made
  7. Here's the article I was looking at, maybe you can translate into English for me https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/high-tide-files-preliminary-prospectus-in-connection-with-the-listing-of-its-common-shares-on-the-canadian-securities-exchange-698955611.html And then this one from a few days ago https://www.newswire.ca/news-releases/high-tide-subsidiary-rgr-canada-receives-record-accessories-purchase-order-from-aurora-cannabis-700371502.html Maybe take the answer into the OT section so this thread stays on point
  8. I need your opinion on High Tide Inc for investing purposes.
  9. Shameful behavior gentlepeople. Objectifying this poor woman, who is clearly distraught, emotionally unstable and unable to function after having overheard comments that had nothing to do with her, is just another example of why then patriarchy needs to be smashed.
  10. There is a relief award, it's just that nobody cares about it
  11. Looks like that killer instinct they've been missing the last few years is starting to take hold.
  12. I think it's only unreasonable now because FOs have become wiser about paying athletes into their mid and late 30s. 10/350 is probably where he starts though. Then it will just be a matter of teams trying to 1 up each other with either higher AAV, deferred money, extra years or whatever. Ditto Machado. Top tier FAs in their physical prime that still project to provide massive value for 7+ years aren't as scary as signing a 33 yo Donaldson to a long term deal
  13. I think pitchers just accept the fact they will have TJS at some point, and just figure they may as well go balls out while healthy and try to get that dough
  14. Also took that 103 MPH pitch out for a HR.... Resume fapping
  15. Who are you and what have you done with our Dick?
  16. Just a follow up on this, Lieper was under contract through 2019 so his axe is definitely the result of the new manager wanting his own guy
  17. Pretty much all these guys are on 1 year deals if I'm not mistaken and It's pretty standard for a new manager to pick his own coaching staff. I also know he can't pilfer Rays coaches as part of the agreement they had so he'll definitely be shopping around
  18. Why would it sound anything but good?
  19. I don't think we need to Fister Porcello.
  20. If there's a single person that looks at Kawhi's takents and still misses Demar, they're watching the wrong sport.
  21. It's the go-to these days for people like her. Can't have a contrary opinion to a woman's if you're a man because that means you're talking down to them, being oppressive or some other bat s*** crazy crap.
  22. He was probably gonna pitch 2 innings anyways, what's 1 more out?
  23. They still have fans, shockingly. Preds vs Oilers to cap things off later.
  24. This is helluva Saturday night for sports GAME 7 Dodgers vs Brewers, Raps vs Wizards Riders vs Stampeders Leafs vs Blues Habs vs Senators All on right now. If heaven exists, this is what it would be for me. That, or a blow job from the wife while playing Call of Duty.
  25. Sound slide you want the calls right, as long as it's fast, and if that can't happen, then challenges shouldn't really be a thing. I'm kind of in the same boat. I don't think managers should be responsible for questioning whether the call is right or not. Use tech to get the calls right in the first place. But until then, the challenge system is the best they have so make it faster. I agree with other suggestions that there should be no consultation with a teams own video review, you either challenge in real time or don't based on what you, your players or your on field coaches see, and you get 10 seconds to throw that flag. Pitch clock for pitchers is absolutely essential too imo.
