  1. Tell me NFL calibre talent playing the CFL game wouldn't be way better?
  2. The start of a beautiful friendship
  3. When you don't record on a phone line, that's pretty impossible. These days podcasts are recorded digitally on things called computers.
  4. Yeah, politics, social justice and all that s*** just.... f*** off and leave sports alone. When I watch a sport, i want to watch the sport, not hear about the world's fake problems from people who wouldn't know fake news from fake tits.
  5. Thankfully Shapiro and Atkins are intelligent and would never hire that crusty old moron unless there's a janitorial opening. But you're right, the meltdown would be incredible.
  6. Keep typing dude. Me replying to you about baseball and trying to have a conversation of any substantiance is like Neil Degrasse Tyson trying to explain astrophysics to a poodle.
  7. Oh ya, forgot about him. 3 - 0
  8. Number of posters here who were very into sabremetrics and advanced analysis who became swiftly employed by pro baseball organizations: 2 Number of posters here who think speedy/slappy hitters are ireal leadoff men and pitchers like Borucki are #1 pitchers because ERA and stuff who have been swiftly hired by pro baseball organizations: 0 Enjoy the flat earth bud. I feel for you. My empathy for your willful ignorance is legitimate. But as they say, ignorance is bliss.
  9. I find it's better not to waste time explaining things to people that aren't interested in listening and learning and would rather evaluate pitchers based on subjective feelings, useless stats, unquantifiable garbage and whose blathering pretty much amounts to nothing more than "Durrrrrr ERA and stuff" rather than talent derived metrics. When you're ready to move beyond the 1950s, let me know and i'll bring out the flashcards for ya. And calling people turds, Dicks (capital D even) and telling them to suck your cock definitely gives you more credibility.
  10. Jesus......
  11. MLB is blaming Trout for that. "Mike has made decisions on what he wants to do, doesn't want to do, how he wants to spend his free time or not spend his free time," Manfred said in the hours before MLB's All-Star Game at Nationals Park. "I think we could help him make his brand very big. But he has to make a decision to engage. It takes time and effort."
  12. Can 1 of you go to the off topic forum and cleanse all the bot spam? Thanks. Feel free to delete this as well
  13. Probably yeah. He needs to rake to make up for his even poor defense at 1b. He'd likely need to be in 135 wrc+ territory to be even mlb average overall. I don't see that in Tellez
  14. Cleveland just became the 1st team ever to have 4 SP each record 200 Ks in a season.
  15. Bergen is interesting. Pen arm for sure but he can miss bats. If he, Mayza and Fernandez were the lefty pen arms with one of them on the Buffalo shuttle that wouldn't be too surprising.
  16. While I agree that Schneider would be a decent option, your reasoning needs work, aside from the symmetry. I think most will think you meant to say chemistry, but symmetry in social/professional interaction is a thing, and probably very important in MLB. I think Gibby has excellent symmetry with the players, for the most part. The Sox and Yankees have all star team rosters, they could put you or I in as a manager and still be amazing, so that's not really a point. I think the thing that plays in Schneider favour is that he's been with the Jays his entire playing and coaching career, and obviously they value him highly or he wouldn't have been promoted to the next level pretty much every year since he started managing. There's clearly something he has and they see in him that meshes well with what they want in a big league manager. It might just be the perfect time for him to take over if the Jays think he is ready
  17. Exactly. Just because 10 guys are rule 5 eligible doesn't mean those 10 guys are MLB ready and deserving of a spot. It's like Hurl said.... maybe 2 of them. And there's enough dead weight on the roster right now along with surely departing FAs like Solarte and Estrada.... the hint of a roster crunch is just clickbait ********
  18. I had to watch that Grichuk s*** again. Holy f*** that was crushed
  19. Can we get BeeKs out of the game before he craters my ERA for the Week? Actually, f*** it, let's see Teoscar go yard first. I've got DeGrom and Cole balancing things out tonight
  20. Lol Grichuk just fluked another 450+ foot bomb too, outer edge!
  21. Not even a cookie, was on the very upper/inner corner. Another fluke HR that went 400+ feet
  22. Better analytics and coaching for sure, with a side of cheating
  23. He was just put on leave today. That was the new part
  24. No kidding. It's fun to pile on the O's but a team being that s***** at baseball has got to wear on them
  25. Very much so. Hopefully a new pitching coach can get something out of him. I think it's about time for Walker to move on.
