  1. It's a wonder why more FO's don't pay more for talent. There's no luxury tax for the front office staff. Build a f***ing army of brains, analysts, scouts and actually pay them a wage that reflects their value.... all that s*** that actually makes people want to work for you and succeed.
  2. Chinese change up? Sounds like an Asian tranny
  3. Clearly you haven't read up on Orioles Hangout.Com where their PAID prospect evaluator has pegged them with a top 10 system and 47 players with 45+ future value.
  4. And a bettr waiver pickup in fantasy before the season started!
  5. Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but when the O's lose tonight it will tie their franchise record for losses in a season since they became the Orioles in 1954.
  6. Up and in is the new black. If you get enough spin on that 4 seamer, most players can't handle it since they've mostly developed swings to generate loft, which is the result of the previous generation of pitchers all pounding the zone low. It's all cyclical. Within a few (5+) seasons, we'll probably back to watching slappy spray hitters again when all the pitchers have abandoned their 2 seam or sinker /slider focus in favour of 4 seam/curveball and younger position players will have to be coming up with much more level swings
  7. 5 bucks a month as a patron and you can come on and defend your already defeated theory about slapsters being ideal leadoff hitters
  8. Exit velocity is a result. You can't teach results. You can only hope to teach the skills that go into producing those results
  9. Well if you look at wrc+ which is better than looking at total hits... Jays are 9th in the MLB with +101. Best is Houston with 112, the Yankees, sox, athletics, Dodgers, Rays, Indians, angels, Jays and Cubs. But, if you want hits, they are 20th with 1235.
  10. Can you pick 1 side to be pissed about instead of being a retard about literally everything? It's the height of retardation to be upset that they aren't winning, yet also upset that since they're not gonna win they're winning too much to get the #1 pick given how the draft in MLB works. This "logic" demonstrates a complete lack of critical thinking ability, baseball intelligence and common sense.
  11. I don't think anyone has suggested otherwise
  12. Of course it helped. It's just that the pitching, defense and baserunning gave it all back, and then some. Without the hard hits, the Jays are likely worse than Baltimore
  13. That's just it, they have enough of 2 of the 3 true outcomes (HR and Ks), just need to up that 3rd one. And, of course, put out the dumpster fire of a rotation, stop being a s***** baserunning team (dead last by a long shot, nearly 25 runs given away, 29th place team has -13.6), stop being a s***** defensive team (2nd last next to Baltimore, -52 runs). Baserunning and defense alone count for 77 runs given away.....
  14. Basically every peripheral of his is the worst if his career, coupled with the fact he can't seem to throw strikes.... and he does they're getting crushed.
  15. When did I say they made the decision with casuals in mind? My point is casuals are pissed no matter what decision this FO makes regardless of it's merit.
  16. Can't imagine the backlash they would have faced from the casuals for trading JD and giving up on the season before it even started. The salt would have filled the RC
  17. About the same as the callused dead skin on the bottom of my heels.
  18. I think alot of teams would be for this in general, but the problem with no divisions is balancing the schedule and ensuring travel affects all teams roughly the same, which is virtually impossible.
  19. Not just the curve though, gotta keep throwing more 4 seams than 2 seams. Small sample size of course, but look at the swing/whiff rates on every pitch other than the 2 seam last night? 0 whiffs on the 2 seam, we'll above average whiff rates on the other 3. This follows the same ype of results from his previous start against Tampa when his 4 seam and curve were also used more. Contrast that with his early season pitch mix and it's like night and day.
  20. Much better pitch mix tonight from Sanchez http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/pfx.php?month=9&day=12&year=2018&game=gid_2018_09_12_tormlb_bosmlb_1%2F&pitchSel=592717&prevGame=gid_2018_09_12_tormlb_bosmlb_1%2F&prevDate=912&league=mlb
  21. Not really. He actually believes in bunting and speedy slap hitters should be at the top of the lineup, cuz speed and stuff
  22. You try bunting a knuckleball ya muppet. Then blame your speedy slap hitting Pillar for swinging at s*** in his own batter's box.
  23. It's not even playing to win so much as letting a guy with wheels pinch run and get into the game that doesn't mean anything except to Boston
  24. Oh s***, that dude got knocked good by that flying bat
