While I agree that Schneider would be a decent option, your reasoning needs work, aside from the symmetry. I think most will think you meant to say chemistry, but symmetry in social/professional interaction is a thing, and probably very important in MLB. I think Gibby has excellent symmetry with the players, for the most part.
The Sox and Yankees have all star team rosters, they could put you or I in as a manager and still be amazing, so that's not really a point.
I think the thing that plays in Schneider favour is that he's been with the Jays his entire playing and coaching career, and obviously they value him highly or he wouldn't have been promoted to the next level pretty much every year since he started managing. There's clearly something he has and they see in him that meshes well with what they want in a big league manager.
It might just be the perfect time for him to take over if the Jays think he is ready
