  1. MLB is blaming Trout for that. "Mike has made decisions on what he wants to do, doesn't want to do, how he wants to spend his free time or not spend his free time," Manfred said in the hours before MLB's All-Star Game at Nationals Park. "I think we could help him make his brand very big. But he has to make a decision to engage. It takes time and effort."
  2. Can 1 of you go to the off topic forum and cleanse all the bot spam? Thanks. Feel free to delete this as well
  3. Probably yeah. He needs to rake to make up for his even poor defense at 1b. He'd likely need to be in 135 wrc+ territory to be even mlb average overall. I don't see that in Tellez
  4. Cleveland just became the 1st team ever to have 4 SP each record 200 Ks in a season.
  5. Bergen is interesting. Pen arm for sure but he can miss bats. If he, Mayza and Fernandez were the lefty pen arms with one of them on the Buffalo shuttle that wouldn't be too surprising.
  6. While I agree that Schneider would be a decent option, your reasoning needs work, aside from the symmetry. I think most will think you meant to say chemistry, but symmetry in social/professional interaction is a thing, and probably very important in MLB. I think Gibby has excellent symmetry with the players, for the most part. The Sox and Yankees have all star team rosters, they could put you or I in as a manager and still be amazing, so that's not really a point. I think the thing that plays in Schneider favour is that he's been with the Jays his entire playing and coaching career, and obviously they value him highly or he wouldn't have been promoted to the next level pretty much every year since he started managing. There's clearly something he has and they see in him that meshes well with what they want in a big league manager. It might just be the perfect time for him to take over if the Jays think he is ready
  7. Exactly. Just because 10 guys are rule 5 eligible doesn't mean those 10 guys are MLB ready and deserving of a spot. It's like Hurl said.... maybe 2 of them. And there's enough dead weight on the roster right now along with surely departing FAs like Solarte and Estrada.... the hint of a roster crunch is just clickbait ********
  8. I had to watch that Grichuk s*** again. Holy f*** that was crushed
  9. Can we get BeeKs out of the game before he craters my ERA for the Week? Actually, f*** it, let's see Teoscar go yard first. I've got DeGrom and Cole balancing things out tonight
  10. Lol Grichuk just fluked another 450+ foot bomb too, outer edge!
  11. Not even a cookie, was on the very upper/inner corner. Another fluke HR that went 400+ feet
  12. Better analytics and coaching for sure, with a side of cheating
  13. He was just put on leave today. That was the new part
  14. No kidding. It's fun to pile on the O's but a team being that s***** at baseball has got to wear on them
  15. Very much so. Hopefully a new pitching coach can get something out of him. I think it's about time for Walker to move on.
  16. When they get to 112 it will be their all time franchise record of suck
  17. Cubs SS Addison Russel placed on leave after ex-wife alleges abuse.
  18. BeeKs and SRF are really killing my K to BB ratio right now. Luckily I was already losing that category
  19. His breaking stuff isn't even close right now. Hitters don't even need to think about it. On the plus side, they can't square up the fastball either
  20. And now the ump is blind again. SRF has to throw middle middle to get a strike called. Yeah he's struggling with command but come on blue. 2 hitters in a row he paints the corners for what should be strike 1 and he doesn't get the call.
  21. Pure luck. Anyone can hit 99mph fastballs in the low/away part of the zone out.
  22. Wow. Basic 2 hopper to 1st and Tellez boots it to score 2 unearned runs....
  23. 7 run rally in the bottom of the 9th to walk it off. Crazy s*** really. Jansen hit a 3 run bomb, Tellez RBI double, Lourdes Gurriel 2 run shot THEN Smoak went b2b with a solo job to end it.
  24. I think my comment pretty much nailed it
  25. Wonder what their clutch rating is? That's how Seattle managed for so long until lack of talent caught up
