  1. When did I say they made the decision with casuals in mind? My point is casuals are pissed no matter what decision this FO makes regardless of it's merit.
  2. Can't imagine the backlash they would have faced from the casuals for trading JD and giving up on the season before it even started. The salt would have filled the RC
  3. About the same as the callused dead skin on the bottom of my heels.
  4. I think alot of teams would be for this in general, but the problem with no divisions is balancing the schedule and ensuring travel affects all teams roughly the same, which is virtually impossible.
  5. Not just the curve though, gotta keep throwing more 4 seams than 2 seams. Small sample size of course, but look at the swing/whiff rates on every pitch other than the 2 seam last night? 0 whiffs on the 2 seam, we'll above average whiff rates on the other 3. This follows the same ype of results from his previous start against Tampa when his 4 seam and curve were also used more. Contrast that with his early season pitch mix and it's like night and day.
  6. Much better pitch mix tonight from Sanchez http://www.brooksbaseball.net/pfxVB/pfx.php?month=9&day=12&year=2018&game=gid_2018_09_12_tormlb_bosmlb_1%2F&pitchSel=592717&prevGame=gid_2018_09_12_tormlb_bosmlb_1%2F&prevDate=912&league=mlb
  7. Not really. He actually believes in bunting and speedy slap hitters should be at the top of the lineup, cuz speed and stuff
  8. You try bunting a knuckleball ya muppet. Then blame your speedy slap hitting Pillar for swinging at s*** in his own batter's box.
  9. It's not even playing to win so much as letting a guy with wheels pinch run and get into the game that doesn't mean anything except to Boston
  10. Oh s***, that dude got knocked good by that flying bat
  11. Yeah I know, but the same question could be asked from the previous inning when it was obvious he was about to be pinch hit for. Why pinch hit for him if you aren't playing for anything?
  12. Attaboy Pillar, way to swing at the ball in your own batter's box
  13. Anyone asking "why aren't they buntung" ...... is f***ing stupid. You have 6 outs left, you don't give one of them away But, a pinch runner would make some sense here
  14. #1, 7.8 runs was his entire season worth of baserunning, not just the 2 months he was with Toronto. So, even if you assume he was equally valuable with baserunning in all months, he would have been worth 1.34 runs with his legs for TO over 2 months. Dynamite.
  15. Wow, glad I missed that or I would likely have choked on my dinner
  16. Faster healing yes, but I think it's debateable about stronger UCLs. There's kids having TJ surgery before they are 18 because they're blowing out there arms in year round competition nstead of letting them heal when the season's are over.
  17. Maybe, but he's several rungs above Harold Reynolds
  18. Good, now the Fishercats can play Akron in the finals on even footing
  19. That's some quality posting right there
  20. There's maybe 2 GMs in the league that would want a guy like Revere leading off these days. One of them is in Kansas City, at the bottom of the league is nearly every offensive category. The other is Baltimore because literally every player not on their current roster who has played the game over the past 5 years is an upgrade on their dumpster fire of a current roster. The slap hitting speedster (henceforth known as a slapster) with no power is an extinct model of a leadoff hitter. The slapster paradigm has been discarded by every GM in baseball except the aforementioned 2, neither of whom you want to model your lineup creation thought process after.
  21. He'll probably be traded to Houston where he becomes an ace overnight after they teach him to use the right pitches more often.
  22. Thanks Harold Reynolds.
  23. He's got all the right pitches... his mix is just stupid. Start throwing the 4 seamer and curve more, 2 seamer less.
  24. I suspect these delays and lack of agreement so far are probably due to the defense dragging their feet to ensure it's the offseason this gets handled with the fewest eyes and ears on it as possible.
  25. Yeah I know, I was just adding the wrc for contextual purposes
