  1. Freeman can’t handle Romano’s cheese
  2. I don’t think he can appeal that after the game is over unless he has actually indicated he is playing under protest
  3. Three-batter minimum Official rule: The starting or any relief pitcher is required to pitch to a minimum of three batters, including the batter then at bat (or any substitute batter), until such batters are put out or reach base, or until the offensive team is put out, unless the substitute pitcher sustains injury or illness which, in the umpire crew chief’s judgment, incapacitates him from further play as a pitcher. To me, that says a pitcher must face either 3 hitters, or remain in the game at least until the end of the inning.
  4. If his recall wasn’t reported to MLB he wouldn’t be allowed to dress for the game. But even if that were the case, there’s no way the ump or opposing manager would know about a transaction not being reported.
  5. Must face 3 batters before getting taken out as far as I know....but I’ll take another look
  6. The only thing a manager is required to give the umpire is the starting lineup and batting order. No potential substitutes need to be listed. I get that just because the majority of us don’t know the rules, that we would decide something based on feelings, but that’s not how sports are played. It’s in the rule book that Waguespack is eligible to enter the game, the ump got it wrong. End of story That doesn’t excuse the lack of attention to detail on Montoyos part as I’m sure these guys truly believe that potential subs should be given, but the fact remains they are not. The second fact that the ump doesn’t know this rule is even more inexcusable than Montoyos oversight
  7. If I was Montoyo, I’d put Waguespack back out there since he’s absolutely eligible to enter the game
  8. Explain why they made the right decision, when it’s in black and white in the rule book that potential substitutes are not required to be listed on the lineup card. Technically, Montoyo could have played the remainder of this game under protest because of that umpires decision, which was against the rules. Though I’m guessing Montoyo doesn’t know that rule either lol
  9. So, the umps are dumb right? Even though not listing Waguespack on the lineup card is a brain cramp of tremendous proportion....it’s not necessary for him to be allowed in the game. So.....who looks more dumb here? Montoyo or the home plate ump who doesn’t know the rule to the sport he is paid to know the rules to?
  10. Jays should be sitting on the soft stuff at this point. His fastball command hasn’t been there
  11. It’s such a lazy and completely irrelevant comparison....hey guys, our 21 year old fatty has the same foot speed as someone who is 10 years older and has been a great offensive player for years ...so that must be good!
  12. He’s a clown, couldn’t be a worse choice. Gratz dude!
  13. Maybe offline too much? Hard to say from the angle we had
  14. Send out the ground crew, there’s a crater at home plate now
  15. Really? I always figured you for a catcher......if ya know what I mean
  16. I think he actually stepped further towards first than Ryu did. They could really solve this issue with a simple solution too. Draw a line at 45 degrees between the rubber and the plate. If the guys footdoesn’t land on the side of the line towards first, or right on the line, balk.
  17. Well you were half right. Once the lead foot crosses his back leg there’s only 2 places he can go...home, or to 2b if there’s a runner there.
  18. OMFG Vlad hit a fly ball!!!!!
  19. Not correct, his lead foot can’t cross the rubber and he has to clearly step towards first. He can’t step towards home and throw to first. His foot landed maybe a foot off line from home
  20. Except we need to do some photoshop, replace Acuna with an ice cream machine, and change the ball in Vlads hand to a 50$ bill.
  21. Wow, that was so close to a balk....if that is what’s considered a clear step to first, runners have no chance
  22. Lol, why can none of our Starters throw strikes ffs? Lolololol
  23. Good thing we have options like long-time defensive 3B stalwart Joe Panik for Montoyo to put at the hot corner. His immense experience at 3rd is such a pleasure to watch.
  24. Of course. Why stick around to clean up a disaster that he made? Much better to take over a new team where all the hard work was done already.
  25. Ho hum, another day, another jays pitcher who cant throw strikes
