  1. Not this early, but it will very likely happen later.
  2. The even better news, now that Cole is out of the game, Dickerson might have a shot at connecting with a pitch.
  3. Well thats one way to get into the pen early.
  4. Jays just need to relax a bit. A bit too aggressive. El Capitan knows the deal.
  5. Why? You're better than this.
  6. There is absolutely zero justification for Dickerson hitting leadoff. Even ignoring the fact that he's likely the 8th or 9th best hitter in the lineup at the best of times... he has the biggest hole in his swing at the top of the zone against velocity. Always has had that hole in his swing. Always will. Cole lives at the top of the zone with premium velocity. Dickerson is 4 Swinging Ks waiting to happen unless Cole makes massive mistakes, which is not something you would plan on or think "well maybe if Cole pitches like crap this guy hitting leadoff will pan out... " Garbage managing from a garbage manager.
  7. It would be incredibly fun though, to watch all those old writer's heads explode if Vlad actually does win the triple crown, and then don't vote him as MVP. The entertainment it would cause would be tremendous.
  8. Always nice to see Chuckles take out his ace, who is dealing, only at 80 pitches, for a reliever to come in and start missing the zone with everything
  9. f*** Springer….gift the error right back to them
  10. Wow, yanks are an error factory today. Gotta get at least 1 here
  11. Springer doesn’t look good, every swing he’s bending and stretching something. Definitely not ideal
  12. Yeah, statistical anomalies are fun
  13. Might have been traded or released since the jacket became a thing?
  14. Nice, Nate strikes out the side. A few more of those low leverage situations and he might be ready for something a bit more important
  15. Oh you can’t do that….that’s a HR jacket, pitchers should have their own. The juju on that jacket is now gone.
  16. It’s a bit of both because actual results can vary widely from pitcher to pitcher dong the exact same thing because of those things that are not in the pitchers control. The perfect example is Matz vs Ray in August. Both pitchers had very good ERAs, but only one of them actually pitched well.
  17. No kidding, I hit send, switched back to the game and first pitch after hitting send was the double, lol
  18. Didn’t think I’d be tuning in in the 5th to see a no hitter in progress with an 8 run lead.
  19. True. But they’ve also gone 7-3 n their last 10 and made up exactly….0 games.
  20. I also went to Costco after it was 8-2…. Though I hadn’t realized they came back until this morning, which was a very nice surprise. Still doesn’t mean Manoah shouldn’t have pulled after 5 Chuck, I still want you fired.
  21. Nice Grichuk, probably an irrelevant play at the end of the day, but good f***ing job.
  22. Like wtf Charlie. Your entire pen is rested and this is a must win game….f***ing joke to leave Manoah in there when it’s so blatantly obvious he was struggling with everything. I get the train of thought that you want him to try and get through the bottom of the lineup, maybe,..but after the lead off walk…that should have been it. Fire this f***ing clown already please.
