  1. Lololol. Wtf ump, that was in the other batters box ffs….lol
  2. Espinal gonna be hitting in the 2 spot before long
  3. Really hate the cop out from Tabler or any other commentator when they excuse an ump for being s***** by calling him “consistent”. Well yeah, he’s calling balls strikes a lot, so he’s consistently s*****. Consistency is only a good thing when you’re consistently good.
  4. He hits mid 90s regularly with the 4 seam. Averaged 94mph last season with it.
  5. Or, f***face, dickhead, bitch... etc.
  6. Whoa, not often you see Bo really late on 95mph fastballs. Must have been looking for seomthing else.
  7. Heh. Strawman arguments are fun
  8. Of course, all this bitching we are doing about Collins means 100% he's going to have a JP Arencibia debut kind of night
  9. Jansen being out isnt the problem. Collins being in over Biggio, when we've just seen Tapia start twice in the OF... is. That's far from optimal. It's doubly dumb now that we know Jansen has mild soreness. Now, you're left with a lower floor lineup and your backup catcher at DH. If Kirk get's beaned, youre left with losing the DH spot, or putting in a guy you didn't want to be in there due to soreness. THe obvious counter there is, maybe it's not a big deal and jansen would be fine to come in if Kirk get's hurt. Well, maybe, but as your catcher, if you're hurt enough they dont want you starting, they obviously wouldnt want you coming in in case of injury to the other catcher either. This is exactly the scenario whereyour 3rd catcher should be sitting out as a backup and not starting at DH.
  10. The bench is fine-ish if it's used properly. Neither Tapia (nor Zimmer had he been here) should be starting 2 games out of the 1st 3 in the OF. They should be the pinch runners you put in late in games when you need to gamble, then done for the day. There's almost no scenario on this team where putting them in to pinch hit for any other hitter makes sense, even though they hit left handed.
  11. Collins DHing today would make decent sense if we hadnt just sat through 2 games of Tapia getting starts in the OF. Like, with what a normal person would do with this lineup, 1 game out of 4 with Collins as a DH is at least defensible. It's not defensible when your better hitters are getting the same amount of starts as the scrubs. Biggio not playing today (barring an injury we don't know about) makes no sense.
  12. even Biggio as a DH would be preferable. Dude still projects to be league average. The floor of the lineup drops so much with guys like Collins, Tapia etc getting starts over Biggio.
  13. Really hope this DH shuffling doesnt get out of hand. Already seen Tapia get more starts than he should get over 3 weeks and now Collins in there. Kirk and Jansen should both be in the lineup every day with one as the DH, expecially with a 3rd catcher around to be the emergency fill in if the starter gets hurt and you dont want to lose the DH spot. I would move Chapman up a slot or two also, though that's not much more than hair splitting. He's just too good to be in 7th behind Gurriel and Kirk.
  14. Meh, i'll fight anyone who wants it. Yonge and Bloor at midnight.
  15. Yeha. By no means was he great of course, but so many calls that could have gone his way didn't, and when you force the soft tossers to throw meatballs to get stirke calls, they get hit around. I didn;t really see a problem with Jansen's framing either. That many missed calls is just an umpire that has very obvious holes in how he calls balls and strikes.
  16. Maybe they do, maybe they don’t. 3 games isn’t evidence of anything one way or the other. One thing is glaringly true though. You’re a f***ing idiot.
  17. No reason for Tapia to have started 2 out of 3 games…that’s just stupid.
  18. Doesn’t mean he didn’t just make 2 bad throws.
  19. Manoah will be starting Game 1 of the ALCS at this rate
  20. Lol, ryu can’t catch a break. Yeah some hard contact here but two straight wrong throws by gurriel, seeing eye single and now he gets hit by a grounder….
  21. Can we just stop throwing the cutter please? It’s garbage
