  1. Yeahs, playing LF in Coors at the age he was when he did it was a recipe for disaster.
  2. I would think yhe would be laughing all the way to the bank. He was one of the top 10 paid players in the game while performing below replacement level from 1995 till his retirement
  3. That's honestly laughable at how much of an impact these umps have had in just 5 games based on terrible pitch calling. More than 9 runs
  4. Have we even seen a 90% correct called strike rate in the first 5 games? Seems 82 or 83% is the norm for Jays games so far. That's just not acceptable
  5. Dang Vlads timing still isn’t there yet on plus velocity fastballs
  6. Vlad is coming out of his shoes first pitch.
  7. That outside fastball was strike 3 last night
  8. He’s late on every fastball, early on the offspeed. He’s a mess.
  9. Let’s see if the offence can wake up here
  10. Yup. 98 mph and Naquin took him yard. Then he gets a flyout and strikes out Votto on 3 pitches. Cant tell how the slider looks as Im just radio scouting but 98mph fastball to 85mph slider is pretty good separation
  11. Anthony Gose coming in for Bieber. Gose actually being deployed as a guy to put out the fire is friggin awesome. Here comes the 100mph heat
  12. In Heineman's favor, he is a switch hitter. So Charlie can put him in the lineup to suck from both sides.
  13. Yesterday's Ump Scorecard: Utterly aweful, but still ended up favoring Toronto somehow. Called strikes were only 83% accurate. Spanky could call a better game after chugging his breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  14. I think what likely happened here is Garver went in there hard, knowing he was gonna be out and intentionally slid to the fielder side of second, but realized a bit late he was going too far and tried to hold himself up, and failed. I dont think there was intent to contact the fielder, but he defitnitely failed to try and maintain contact with the base with his slide. He then also ended up grabbing the fielder just as his throwing motion was over. So while it wasn't a dirty slide, it was against the rule as written.
  15. Facing a lefty tonight so starting any LHB with terrible splits against lefties wouldn't be ideal if they don't have to. I'd rather see the RH stack tonight and throw the rest in if it gets out of hand one way or the other. On the other hand, this guy has weird reverse splits in wOBA against him over his short career so far, despite underlying numbers that arent really all that different L Vs R
  16. Except last night they were facing a RHP and Espy was in, so maybe not a true platoon, but just whomever's hitting well gets in.
  17. There’s that ump consistency again. Notice they didn’t say s*** about that terrible missed call
  18. According to Tabler, all the players want is consistency. Not correct calls.
  19. Ok, jays are up Collins (K), Espy(double), Springer (walk), Bo with a single, Vladdy bomb and we can go home.
  20. Look at the bright side, could’ve been a DP
  21. Such ******** these hitters have to swing at garbage like that because of s***** umping
  22. Holy s***, that was two spins on one DP. Amazing!
  23. Great…Tapia gonna be starting tomorrow. Yay….
  24. Every pitch trying to be perfect…just throw strikes ffs
