  1. s***, if we get this Eovaldi all game long it's gonna be a long night. Everything 96+ and on the black except that one pitch to Bo
  2. s***, double play but at least if was a pitch Bo should definitely have swung at. Just a bit late
  3. Attaboy Springer, couldnt have rolled it out there any better.
  4. Problem might be between the ears, he just seems like he has no plan at the plate.
  5. No, he meant once you get to the bullpen, it's feasting time.
  6. Certainly possible, but our hitters arent exactly world beaters right now with a couple exceptions. Would love to see a series where the top 5 are all on point at the same time
  7. 3 of the 4 worst called games (as far as accuracy goes) have been Jays games. The one that favored the Jays only gave .17 runs, the other 2 nearly 3 runs negative against.
  8. I dont even know what kind of argument could be made for Perez. He was at one time half decent at defense, but isnt anymore. When he was good at D, he was bad at O, now it's the reverse. Like there's no argument to be made for Sal Perez at all.
  9. But Yadier is somehow considered a slam dunk hall of famer. People are weird. Martin hit better, ran the bases better, and defended at an elite level. Has more WAR per season than Yadier. Afterthought HOF? Yadier blew chunks with the bat, didnt run well, and was otherworldly on D. Slam dunk HOF?
  10. I've bene going back and forth with a guy on twitter about the umps, he's a Houston fan. That game yesterday was the first game of the season that Houston had a run impact that was in their favour.
  11. I just wonder how much age correlates to good and bad strike calling skills. And really, it is the called strikes vs called balls that are much worse in the accuracy dept. I'd also love to get into the real data and find out where the majority of missed strike calls are vs missed balls. My suspicion is that more strikes are called that should be balls on the width of the zone, and more balls are called that should be strikes on the top/bottom, moreso the bottom.
  12. They do on the website yeah umpscorecards.com
  13. Romano is pretty much the same. It's like they couldnt possibly care less about being on the mound, they're just throwing balls at the catcher for a while, then go on their way
  14. Would be a drastically different look for sure, not to mention the difference in Kikuchi's numbers. Even #2 had been made right, the #1 situation may not have even occured.
  15. Yeah, but you're a sadist and enjoy other people's misery.
  16. DAmn right, sure doesnt hurt.
  17. I dont even know how someone could try and predict what their reaction would be to something like that. Unless youre going through it, it's one of those things you hust have very little perspective on. My mother had kidney cancer like 25 years ago, but they caught it early enough, took out the kidney before it had a chance to spread, and nothing ever since.
  18. I suppose it depends, like Brando posted above there's a good chance to live with it with treatment for a while, but it's not one that's cureable. You get treament off and on over the years but eventually it wins.
  19. My gut was correct, almost 2 runs of total impact from the umpshow. Nowhere near as bad as Angel Hernandez yesterday though... that was atrocious. 77% accuracy on called strikes.
  20. Thing is, that one close call on its own probably wouldn’t be thought of too much. But, if it was preceded by and followed by close to 20 other garbage calls….yeah
  21. First pitch slider, then straight gas for Collins I’m guessing
  22. Maldonado out there to remind Abreu not to pitch like a scared little boy.
