  1. Cookie after cookie, just cant get one
  2. Vlady big fly incoming. I can sense it
  3. Dang right, need one to get this offense back on track
  4. Dang, good throw would have had him by a few feet.
  5. s***. that's gotta hurt.
  6. It has to do with where they put the actual base. Like, the basepaths form a square right, 90 feet each line with a 90 degree turn. But at 2b they have the entire base inside the point of the square, so the distance to get to the edge of the 2B bag isnt actually 90 feet from either the 1st or 3rd base line. It's 90 feet minus the width of the base.
  7. gotta get this one, Whitlock is going to be tough tomorrow. Get the series win out of the way boys!
  8. Nothing they do surprises me. They took until this year to realize that 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd isn't actually 90 feet with how they place 2b on the diamond.
  9. had symptoms so they have him on the COVID restricted list

If Jonny Gadreau gets one more goal the Flames will have 3 guys with at least 40 and 4 with at least 35. That's pretty nuts in todays NHL. Tampa had 3 40 goal guys in 2018-19 (Kuch, Stamkos and Point) but the next closest was at 29 Prior to that, the most recent in 95-96 with Pittsburgh (Mario had 69, Jagr had 62 and Petr Nedved had 45) but that was a completely different goal scoring environment.
  11. It's Montoya and his LRLRLR thing. You'd certainly want Chapman above Tapia in virtually all situations. Heinemans a switch too so Chapman could move up one, Tapia 7th, Heineman then Katoh or something like that, but ... honestly given the bottom half of the lineup right now it probably doesnt matter at all where they hit. Katoh 9th would be ideal IMO given that he takes a ton of pitches.
  12. He hasnt pitched in the majors in 2 years, and has dramtically improved his K rate, there's a decent chance he's made some changes. Walk rate in the minors still about the same as ever. No, not saying he's some hidden gem, just saying that he might have actually ditched something, or added something recently that might give him a last chance at a pen spot somewhere.
  13. No, his real world value is still heavily dependant on defensive value, still not worth rostering in fantasy
  14. Hope he makes it back, he got demolished when he was up but he could never really miss bats. Maybe he's found something and gets one last shot at a pen spot somewhere.
  15. https://tht.fangraphs.com/the-physics-of-cheating-baseballs-humidors/ Not exactly perfect, but looks like humidity changes in the ball would be very minimal over an hour.
  16. INteresting. He's only given up 2 fly balls, but 1 left the park.
  17. It totally slipped my mind, the Barrio brothers were a tag team in WCW back in the day. Did absolutely nothing but get squashed, but hey, cant win em all
  18. The PA cut off is 10. Heineman and Katoh both have 0.0 WAR in their minimal appearances, Jansen has .4 WAR in his 8 PAs.
  19. I think it's an awesome name.
  20. Yeah I can see the league making baseballs different for everyone, but not no bad that they are drastically different from inning to inning. I very much think they took some juice out of the ball this season though. The short spring training + more relievers should account for the tremendous lack of offensewe've been seeing so far.
  21. It is, but kinda leaves outa few of the guys. Definitely covers the latin american contingent though.
  22. Another consistent low impacting ump night where the Jays win. The correlation is pretty clear at this point (though still SSS overall) when the umps aren't noticed a lot, the Jays win.
  23. Arash has bigger tits tho
  24. Stupid throw….should’ve went to 3rd
  25. Ah well, about time for the pen to implode for a couple of days.
