  1. Man that Astros ground crew really loves soaking that infield. Looks like they're playing after a rain delay.
  2. Yep, shows how good his stuff really is when he's really not pitching well but also not getting lit up.
  3. I dont see what Arash is seeing... "His slider has been nasty all afternoon..." Uh... he's has thrown a few nasty sliders, but the majority of them have been frisbees that are getting hit. His slider has not been nasty at all overall, with a few execptions, like that last one to Siri which was straight filth
  4. Yeah, both were in the 2nd inning, the 1st one at 2-0, the second one at 6-0.
  5. Manoah just a little out of sync with his slider, just cant get it where he wants it.
  6. Make that 21-0. I hope a Cub steals a base.
  7. I know, sucks when the sequencing bites you in the ass
  8. I know, just hyperbole with a hint of sarcasm.
  9. I get it, I can understand why they are upset. But what they are really mad it is being down by a bunch and not having a real chance to win, not that a guy tried to steal. Besides, as the announcer correctly stated, they weren't holding him on, so... they were they really all that concerned? And why not take the base anyways? If it's a game early on in the series, making their pitchers throw as many pitches as possible is a realistic goal since it would potentially help thin the pen for the next few games. And even if its the last game of a series, thin the pen as much as possible. It's not their job to make the other team's bullpen situation easier to manage going forward, division opponent or not.
  10. Tapia demoted to 7th. Dude is carrying this team on his back right now and gets dropped to 7th.... WTF CHARLIE!!!???
  11. Look at Jansen, he had 0.5 WAR over 8 PA in 3 games. He was on pace for like 20 WAR. INSANITY! WRC+ of 535 with positive baserunning and defense. MVP form
  12. Anything I can do to help put you in a bad mood?
  13. I read that one of the Armed Forces generals caught the game the other day when Tapia nailed the runner at second. He was so impressed that now the ground firing missiles are being called "Ramiels" Impressive.
  14. yup. not that driving to Spokane for baseball is even that hard from here, its only about 7 hours through some of the best scenery you'll ever see, so when the Canadians go there for a series it can be a decent weekend trip... if their series falls on a weekend. July 22-24 is circled on the calendar, but I dont know yet if I can make that. Septembers weekend series is unlikely as I'll probably be back in classes by then and working weekends.
  15. I agree for the cookie cutter outfields that all have the exact same shape and curve from pole to pole, that's boring. My point is if the only way stadium designers (and fans) can accept something as quirky and interesting is to completely break the dimension rules, then ... there's not much actual thoguht going into it. On the flip side, Marlins stadium is very quirky - and an eyesore from the 7th circle of hell
  16. That's open to debate. I think its fine to have quirks, as long as you confrim the most basic rules sets of how far the fences need to be at the corners, and in CF. hell, Make the OF wall a weird shaped waveform all the way around that changes in height from 5 feet to 40 for all I care, as long as its 325 Feet down each line and 400 in CF minimum. This notion that the only way to have a quirky OF is to bring the walls in is lazy. Besides, they dont get to play with the other dimensions of anything else? Wouldnt it be quirky is the pitching mound at RC was only 55 feet? What a quirk! Basepath from home to first is 90 feet, but 1st to second and second to 3rd is only 75, then 90 home again. OMG how quirky! And please understand im not meaning to go off on YOu specifically, but field dimension stuff is one of those things that really set me off for some reason.
  17. Espinal has been a revelation. Incredible get by the brass for Steve Pearce.
  18. Grant is on the sknny side though. I figure i could probably swing him as a bat. We'll get him a nice helmet to protect his brain (scientists are needed) and see what happens.
  19. You called out the tough guy. The tough guys answers and now you’re backing away like a bitch. Typical mouthpiece. All talk until he gets into trouble than tucks his dick and runs away, while pretending he’s the upstanding citizen. You’re a joke. Do the baseball world a favour and take up knitting. Your new name is Richard Tucker.
  20. Yeah that was the Pioneer League, it’s gone from being affiliated with MLB when the Minor League restructuring that eliminated multiple rookie levels of ball took place. Now it’s an independent league, so it’s far less interesting
  21. Yeah. I loved it when the Diamondbacks had their rookie ball affiliate in Lethbridge. Now the whole league and level of ball is gone. Closest minor league team to me now is in Spokane.
  22. Anytime anywhere idiot. I’m 6’6 and 300 pounds. I’ll rip your f***in head off and s*** down your neck
