    At this point in time, every team in the league with a .500 or greater record would make the expanded playoffs. That's a pretty solid argument against any further expansion.

    It's shocking to see Orelvis drop after taking AA by storm as a 20 year old. The .216 BABIP makes his numbers look a bit worse than they are and the K numbers aren't all that concerning for a player at his age and level. I don't know how they can argue that his stock has gone down (significantly) and not up.

    I'd insist on a more optimised lineup and give serious consideration to a managerial change if that isn't done. I don't see major trades happening at this point, but we need to move on from Tapia and get a corner outfielder that can hit. It's one thing dealing with struggles from established guys like Teo or a catcher like Kirk, but having a black hole in LF is a glaring issue. I believe you could get Ben Gamel or Tyler Naquin at this point for Tapia and a mid level prospect.

    Garcia has not been good all season. He's wild and doesn't miss bats. It's been a mistake from the moment the ink dried on his contract. There's no good reason for him to be used in high leverage.

    This loss is on Montoyo. Merryweather is better than Yimi Garcia. Trent Thornton might be better for that matter. Awful bullpen mismanagement. Cimber is your guy in if Romano isn't available. He's been money all year.

    I don't understand the faith in Garcia. He was a bad signing from the beginning and has not been very good this season.
