  1. I believe that all first round picks in the CHL have a no-trade clause whether they are under 18 or not. It's definitely true for the OHL.
  2. It just means milb.tv, a joke/meme from the old forum about myself.
  3. I'm not going to allow someone to lie about me and take unreasonable actions without fighting back a bit. I had something more to point, but this is a fair compromise.
  4. They surely would, but I don't think that really makes sense for either club.
  5. I'm really excited to see how he does. Breaking balls have always been the issue for him, at least from what I have seen on the radio. AAA is going to be a big litmus test.
  6. I think Kikuchi has value around the league. He's had HR issues, but everything else has been excellent and he's very healthy. One more year at 12 is peanuts.
  7. I have serious doubts that we're chasing any of the huge names.
  8. Why would we consider trading a vet when we're in a playoff spot?
  9. I guess they were expecting Arozarena to win! I thought it could happen, but both guys were gassed in the bonus time.
  10. Graphics team fail saying Vlad was born in Cuba.
  11. BTS just decided to be a total piece of s*** and ban people who were only making baseball related posts. People like him who abuse the priviledges that they are trusted with by the community make the forum a worse place for everyone. The other mods were mostly doing their best and I respect them for that.
  12. I actually think he could have caught that ball but it wouldn't have made any difference.
  13. 74 pitches, he's clearly tired.
  14. He's got a 120 wRC+ in that time period, which is about what we saw in 2019 and 2020. That player is clearly still there, but we'll see if he can keep it consistent from now on. I gave him a pass for 2021, but 2022 was hard to write off as a fluke.
  15. This is certainly not a baseball move, given that they obviously caved to public pressure from radical LGBT activists. That being said, it's probably not hugely detrimental to the team. Bass hasn't been great and we have some interesting relief arms to bring up. I'm happy to be rid of the distraction.
  16. I was at camp for the last 2 weeks, so I certainly did.
  17. Garcia is such a piece of s***. Please, please, please DFA him soon. He's single handedly cost us several wins this year, I'm so f***ing tired of him.
  18. We really should have kept Berrios in. I have far more confidence in him.
  19. Garcia, ugh. Well, the lead was nice while it lasted
  20. ZIPS has Suarez and Wong with a 99 and 93 wRC+, respectively. Neither of them have been good for quite some time and I don't really believe in their ability to turn their seasons around. Teo has been consistently good for several consecutive years and far better than either Wong or Suarez. I believe in his bat. Maybe I'm wrong, that's just what I see.
  21. I'll give you J-Rod and Teo, but I wouldn't expect much more from Suarez and Wong. I see both as poor hitters on the wrong side of 30. Kelenic has been below average since his scorching start in April. I don't see a lot in his profile to suggest he'll turn it around. If I had to bet, I would definitely expect more of the same from the team as a whole. Ty France is their only hitter who has shown any kind of consistency.
  22. Seattle has lost a little bit of power from last year, but it's essentially the same type of offense. No one in their right mind should have expected them to have sustained success with a roster that is ridiculously prone to strikeouts. We should probably look at last year as an anomaly, given that the Mariners have only produced 3 above average offenses (by wRC+) in the last 20 seasons.
  23. He's done in the minors and just needs some time. I don't love the comparison, but Realmuto wasn't even in the majors at this age and didn't put up an ISO over .150 until his 4th season. Moreno is in the majors and on pace to hit 3 WAR.
  24. I didn't make that comparison, but I believe that Moreno is a special player. His combination of contact ability, speed, and defense is a rare combination for a catcher. I see 5 WAR seasons in his future.
  25. It's not revisionist at all. I said that the trade was a mistake on the day it was made and have maintained that stance throughout.
