    Make fun of him if you wish, but Pete Walker hasn't gotten enough credit for the superb job he has done with our pitchers. Consistent mechanics means consistent performance and good health, which we've had.

    Sanchez is doing it in the AL East right now, so I'd take him. There's always that question with other pitchers, no matter how talented.

    Absolutely wrong. It's a significant sample size and they will explore every avenue before making a trade, including whether or not the player is comfortable hitting in our home park. Whether they put huge significance on it is up for debate. We don't know how the front office weighs fickle things like clubhouse presence, comfort, playoff performance, etc.

    They will both be doing their thing in 2017 if we decide to let JB and Saunders walk. That's what this move is about, it's the same reason they targeted Bruce.

    I think you would see him start against lefties and help to keep Saunders and Bautista fresh, with his at-bats coming at the expense of Smoak and Carrera. He would also be utilized quite frequently off of the bench I think.
