  1. Make fun of him if you wish, but Pete Walker hasn't gotten enough credit for the superb job he has done with our pitchers. Consistent mechanics means consistent performance and good health, which we've had.
  2. I trust Biagini as well if you were referring to Grilli and Osuna. He's been really effective in his 6th inning/down by a run or two role.
  3. Vdub will love this, hope she reads the thread.
  4. You sure are an interesting personality.
  5. I think the Padres will definitely cover more than 50%.
  6. Sanchez is doing it in the AL East right now, so I'd take him. There's always that question with other pitchers, no matter how talented.
  7. Some names I think could be moved in addition to the previously mentioned ones: Ryan Borucki DJ Davis Danny Jansen
  8. Absolutely wrong. It's a significant sample size and they will explore every avenue before making a trade, including whether or not the player is comfortable hitting in our home park. Whether they put huge significance on it is up for debate. We don't know how the front office weighs fickle things like clubhouse presence, comfort, playoff performance, etc.
  9. They will both be doing their thing in 2017 if we decide to let JB and Saunders walk. That's what this move is about, it's the same reason they targeted Bruce.
  10. He showed that control in relief so we knew he had it in him. What he found was consistency.
  11. I'd rather land Cashner or Maurer.
  12. I don't know if that's true. Pompey will get his chance in September and 2017, but having another veteran can't hurt.
  13. Ryne Stanek. http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=sa548245&position=P
  14. I think you would see him start against lefties and help to keep Saunders and Bautista fresh, with his at-bats coming at the expense of Smoak and Carrera. He would also be utilized quite frequently off of the bench I think.
  15. Good point, I never thought of that.
  16. Yes, they both did. Padres coach Mark McGwire did it to left field.
  17. I haven't seen a ball hit there in a very long time. Left field, but not right.
  18. Bo knows.... How to throw meatballs.
  19. Why isn't Ezequiel Carrera replacing Jose Bautista in right field?
  20. Joe Kelly gives up another run to the Tigers. The biggest has can I have ever seen and Farrell puts him him in a 1 run game lol.
  21. What sort of response do you expect when I make a make a thread related statement and you choose to be an ******* instead of saying something constructive?
