    Yanks getting a nice start from Mitchell, but haven't scored off of Clay Buttholz yet They should be lighting him up.

    I feel like we'd be lucky to even get him at 7/210 if your scenario comes true. If we get 3-4 more elite seasons, he's probably worth it, but I don't see Shapiro doing it.

    I know it will make things more expensive, but I'm inclined to wait until after next year. If this little reboot that Shapiro is doing works out well and are still a playoff team next year, it might be worth it to get a few more good seasons from him and pay the price later in the contract. If we let EE go and collapse next year then maybe it's time to entertain a trade.

    He's there every day talking to people. I don't doubt that some sort of exec mentioned Donaldson's next contract in a conversation, but I don't think it has much relevance.

    We're just 2 games from controlling our own destiny for the division as well. Even if WC1 is locked up, I'm sure he'd play for that as well. Go Yankees!

    Dick Williams hasn't even been on the job for a year. I'm inclined to give him more of a chance.

    Definitely my least favourite player on the Jays personality wise. A huge Napoleon complex is never something I have admired in people.

    You can't have a problem with it because our team does it. If you act disrespectfully to other teams, it will eventually come back to you.

    Fingerprints or other types of forensics may reveal something. It changes nothing for me, but finding the cause is likely important to the families.

    Even if 50% of it goes, they are filthy rich. I feel sorry for their loss, but not for their finances. They are wealthier than anyone on this forum will ever be.

    I know they waived it for Addie Joss when he died, but he was as good as Fernandez or better and had a much longer track record (Fernandez has barely 2 full seasons of innings). Personally, I don't think they can justify it but I think wouldn't be upset if they did. Jaysblue echoes my reasoning for that. There have been a number of pitchers who light the league on fire and flame out. I'm not comfortable in saying he was even a 50% chance to make it.

    That looks like 4.5 million plus a signing bonus to me. What the f*** kind of world are you living in? They never have to work a day in their lives.
