    It's obviously a combination of the two, I agree with you on the offense. I'm perfectly willing to admit that my perceptions may have no basis in fact, but the defense just bothers me so much more. The way we have been fielding reeks of unpreparedness and lack of focus. I just can't accept that from our team and it infuriates me. The hitting is also frustrating, but teams have slumps every year and I understand what they are going through. These fielders have a track record and if they are putting in their time before games, it should result in the plays being made. When I hear that they didn't even take fielding practice in Seattle though, I blow a gasket.

    This isn't the try league. It's the get it done league. That play must be made at this juncture of the season, no excuses. Defense has cost us a run or more in just about every game this month. I count at least 4 examples where it did cost us the game. We would likely be tied with Boston or have the division lead had we not played the worst stretch of defense in franchise history.
