  1. We lead the league for the year, but are third for September behind the Bucs and Cards.
  2. You're like a week late.
  3. This kind of s*** just gives me more respect for the way my favourite NBA player (Tim Duncan) handled the end of his career.
  4. I thought that Jonathan Schoop would surely have a shot at the games played record, but found this interesting historical quirk. "When the 1962 season ended the San Francisco Giants and the Dodgers were tied with a 101-61 record. Under the rules of the day, they played a best of three playoff series. The series went all three games, with the Giants winning the pennant. Wills played in all 162 regular season games and the 3 tie-breaker games, which are counted as regular season games, much like today's one-game playoffs are counted as regular season contests. To date, six players have played 164 games in a season but no one has tied Wills' 165 game mark."
  5. http://clutchlings.blogspot.ca/2016/09/toronto-blue-jays-top-10-prospects.html?m=1 A nice recap of the seasons of our top 10 prospects. I enjoyed reading it.
  6. I find it exciting when we win and infuriating when we lose.
  7. This is like the Martin-Choo thing. It will fire us up.
  8. Cash in that free run somehow please.
  9. A diet implies a change from everyday eating habits.
  10. I'm not stupid enough to starve myself with s***** food when I can be healthy by doing fun things with friends outdoors.
  11. Freddie Freeman's 34th HR couldn't come at a better time. 2-1 Braves.
  12. Diets are for losers. Be active and stay in shape that way.
  13. He's a worthless sack of crap. Just look at his uniform.
  14. Par for the course. It's clearly the biggest reason for any success they have.
  15. You've got to go through some bad times to appreciate the good times. You're a fairweather fan and that's ok, but many of us are diehards and can't change that. Watching Joe Carter's home run when I was 5 years old remains one of the best moments of my life to this day. A fairweather fan just doesn't get the same experience. Also, I know a couple of successful pro athletes from high school and college and can tell you firsthand that your views are ridiculously off base. Most of them are just normal people that love their sport. Your example of Jose Fernandez is a very poor one considering his background and personality.
  16. Is that a realistic option for the Dogg?
  17. This negativity will be a good source of offseason comedy after we win the World Series.
  18. Id prefer Smoak here to be honest.
  19. Systematic bias towards rich teams and popular players is nothing new in MLB. Get used to it unless you want to be constantly angry.
  20. I'm going to be crying for 2 hours like bellis' newborn. Anyone have some brandy?
  21. It's his fault Martin played bad defense.
  22. These same players on the Jays were a better hitting team last year. Things change quickly in baseball.
