  1. If his velocity is around 90, he can be an effective 5th starter in the majors. I haven't tuned into either start, so I don't know where he's at.
  2. I don't think I'd have much fun with anything if this was my attitude towards having a rough start. We had stretches like this in each of the past 2 seasons and made it to the ALCS. The season may well be over, but I prefer to be optimistic and not jump off the deep end after 2 weeks. Being emotionally unstable was never good for anyone.
  3. Any word on Happ from the twitter people?
  4. I only watched one inning, but he threw breaking balls almost exclusively. He was pretty wild, but the Rays helped him out by being extremely aggressive.
  5. I'm not seeing the 30 HR power in Alford.
  6. It's worth noting that he started games at third base in Buffalo. He may get a shot there with the big club.
  7. I would guess that Donaldson to the DL is the corresponding move.
  8. Getting 4 hits in a game was our biggest problem tonight.
  9. Sorry, I forgot that facts aren't important to you.
  10. He's only had 246 innings at third base, but looks good there and has elite advanced metrics in that small sample. I stand by my statement.
  11. I think that Darwin Barney is probably a better option at 3B. He'll give us good at-bats and good defense, although the lack of power isn't ideal.
  12. There is no technicality. I made a correct statement and backed it up with irrefutable statistics from fangraphs. That's the end of it. If you want to continue to make false quotes and infer things that aren't there then so be it. That's what you guys do because you aren't intelligent enough to have a rational discussion. Goodnight.
  13. I made no reference to single season statistics. You quoted me and then responded as if I said something completely different. Their stats for the past decade are in the link below: http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2016&month=0&season1=2007&ind=0&team=0,ts&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=16,d
  14. I think we all know it's the latter. The Mariners have been a disgustingly bad offensive for a decade now and nothing has changed.
  15. I don't see him being claimed given his putrid stats last season and in the spring.
  16. Jose putting on a show in RF!
  17. Jose lives for this.
  18. I love the Buck uses Britton in a tie game now. He learned his lesson just in time!
  19. Work takes a back seat to opening day. I took the afternoon off to watch it with my department head!
  20. I doubt Upton would be moved unless we get another RH bat to replace him. Coghlan/Goins and Zeke would be disastrous against LHP and they don't seem ready to use Pompey in a platoon. Hopefully Smoak has a good start and makes this a moot point.
  21. Nice depth signing, especially since he will report to Buffalo. Coghlan and Pompey give us the type of OF depth that a playoff team should have. Remember when people were advocating a 3/24 deal for him earlier on the offseason? LOL
  22. Upton easily, but would prefer Pagan over both.
  23. He's incredibly wealthy already. His number 1 priority in life should be himself and his family.
  24. I wouldn't object to adding Curt Casali. He's better defensively than Salty and probably not much different with the bat
  25. I haven't made a post in this discussion.
