  1. Yeah I think it was a good trade at the time. I don't know about a dynasty league but I have Beltran in the MPL and I honestly never once thought I should take the money and run on him. Thought he would have great season in the new stadium. When someone tumbles like that it's natural to question in hindsight but always good to be honest with ones self:)

That seems like a good fit for him. Underperforming team, young.. Non-major metro..

This is clearly an anti-steroids guy.. Maybe I have terrible morals but I couldn't imagine not juicing up before the combine at least..if it would greatly benefit me I mean..

Wow...he can only bench 225lb 17 times?? I can't imagine that kind of strength will play at the NFL level. I'm 5'10 185 and I could do around that when I worked out a lot. Not trying to sound cool but that's seriously bad for an NFL DE/LB I would say. Also 25" vertical leap wouldn't even be rare on this board. Doesn't matter if he's big, those guys are freaks of nature and I would bet 25" sucks very bad. In he article it does say that's abysmal
  5. Well you can't just plan everyone around a playoff schedule especially before the season starts.. There's definitely diff ways to handle it. Personally I would want to see MS start right now.. I was just saying I'm not calling AA incompetent for doing another way. I would call him incompetent for other reasons though. He's definitely built an underwhelming team dollar-for-dollar

I remember an interview with an NFL player about how the locker room would take that Notre Dame LB last year (not going to try and spell name) and that's what he said... A lot depends on it the guy can laugh at himself. That made sense to me and especially in a locker room culture, cameras off/no PC, that's prob how it is. If he's anything like Martin from MIA.. BIG problems I would think

I definitely agree but if he ever gets on the field and proves he's not a circus side-show, he will gain legitimacy. Also a lot depends on his personality. If he's the type of guy to be able to have a sense of humor about his sexuality, it will really help. If he's offended by gay jokes and such, then it could be more of an issue. I know that sounds wrong but that's prob the way it is
  8. One idea against Buffalo is if he's ready to face mlb hitting, he's getting his feet wet. Not saying I'm shooting down everything you suggest I'm just saying it's not some no-brainer move
  9. Well.. You are understanding the flip side that come time when he hits that IP limit and you have to sit him? 1) if you're in the hunt it will suck worse at that time 2) causal fans will go on the warpath..
  10. Ugh. Just looked at Drabek's numbers and he has 12 BB in last 15 IP. Was going to say would rather see him than Happs sorry ass
  11. Idk.. I don't see Jays as a playoff team but if AA does (which I'm sure he does but he should prob be keeping up on the classifieds just in case) , I would prob do the same thing he's doing in this case. If there was always an IP limit I mean
  12. Maybe Stro is on an IP count? Anyone know? That would make sense as I'm sure AA is thinking playoffs in his own world.. So MS starting in pen so he can finish year as SP would make sense.. Unless there is no limit, in which case it's just stupid

What was his realistic projection based on ability. I don't think I remember hearing he was an early round talent
  14. That's such a nice stadium too. I like it. That's one I'm trying to go to BJ series every year.. As there's some other stuff like Cedar Point nearby to make it a mini vaca. Front row visitors side last time set me back like $85 ticket I think...and very spacious leg room... And field very nice. Ballpark isn't in best part of town though. Not wise to walk around after night games don't think

While nimble in the pocket obviously.. His hard numbers are clearly inferior to RG3. I think for instance, while his 40 was respectable and better than most of this QB class, I think Lucks was even better. Don't quote me.. But he's certainly not RG3
  16. Hopefully it's that..trade scenario is least likely.. Though most ideal..
  17. And how many don't pan out for the ones that do? That's a little better than using the Jose Bautista argument for giving s***** players more time
  18. This is the Jays.. Will prob be dramatic injury:(

I neither endorse or disagree with this view. Well about him being worth the picks anyway.. The other QB you speak of was always overrated and his stock dropped pretty far at the end of last year

Yeah want knocking what you were saying just thought of that comment.. As a Redskin fan of 20+ years.. I know the pain of s***** QB play even when you have an owner willing to spend.

One of the best coach quotes I can think of was when someone mentioned to Bill Parcells (while he was coaching) that maybe they needed to find a better solution at QB and he's like" Really? No s***. Thanks. Let me call 1-800-Quarterback and get one"
  22. Spank before you go under the knife check out the proposal I sent to Grants team in bbdl Priorities man:)

The Nets were clearly a much better coached team. Hit the boards much better and moved the ball a million times better. Game was close due to TO's superior athleticism

Yeah I only watched a half of that last game but it was the most important time of the whole season.. And their main issue seemed to be coaching. They lacked fundamentals like boxing out, allowing players to drive to the basket uncontested, a very limited offensive set many times (like the last play where they have the guard driving the lane wildly into 3 guys, they had more than a handful of terrible shot selections)... Also that inexplicable fiasco drawing up an inbounds pass incorrectly at the most pivotal point of the game.
