  1. I was going to say this.. lol.. don't discount the signing just yet
  2. Meanwhile the NFL is America's sport and turns a blind eye to the rampant use..lol.. as does the NBA with hgh for their aging stars.. f***ing Selig.. what a joke
  3. Us Aztecs may not be able to keep up with the Ivy League crowd.. but we can f'n soundspell!! It's sui tore.. I was going to edit..f***er
  4. In seriousness, like with oil//diamonds and whatever else.. the way that it works is you simply charge what the market can bare.. I don't see the SP FA market any different.. its not like a TON of teams have filled out their SP.. plus UJ may have higher upside than most not named Tanaka.. I just think its a situation where the teams just don't have the money to be blowing 5/80-5/90 on #2-3 SP like they have been.. and the teams that would spend stupid money like LAD, BOS, NY.. weren't in the market for these guys like Garza/UJ/RN etc
  5. Was just giving you some s*** back.. honestly I was going to edit that mistake but you caught it first.. Spanish sausage loving #$#%!! jokes.. but seriously.. I don't think it will depress his market.. we'll see though
  6. Also, in the world of stupid.. Dumb logic > grammatical errors
  7. San Diego St.. party school.. they didn't teach us those things.. in honestly I knew that though..whether you believe or no.. blow me:)
  8. Actually it kind of sounds like their MO.. they always inquire on FA but never are willing to pay market price.. so once in awhile players don't get nearly what theyre asking..
  9. Doubt it.. he's a one year deal for a small number of suiters most likely..
  10. Are you oblivious to that fact that most people will see those statements as an oxymoron or did you do it for kicks?
  11. Oh s***.. I was talking about Jimi...lol Santana is an upgrade too though.. I just don't like him as much.. depends what they can get him for, especially maybe a 3yr deal with him
  12. I'm with you.. I think he's a 3 WAR SP like he has been until something changes.. don't see velo dipping any lower than it is.
  13. "Here's the thing I wonder with Stroman... Is there much of a precedent of pitchers of his height acomplishing what he has accomplished so far in college and in the prose?" See this I can dig (Also it's "pros" and later supposed to be "latter".. just pointing out as I know English isn't your first language).. if you want to look at if Stroman brings things to the table that all the other sample size guys didn't have for the most part.. that's fine.. I just don't like ignoring the fact that no player in 100 years has had any success as a SP at 5'9 or below..
  14. Maybe I overrate HK. I've always liked him. Was pleased to get him pretty late in last year's L3 draft.. I think he has 4 WAR upside, especially at the RC.. but that's me.. but if I could get 6-7 WAR over the next 2 years for Stroman while the Jays have some kind of core that doesn't have AARP cards, I would do it
  15. yeah but some are saying Stroman may be 5'7-5'8 if those guys are 5'9 or 5'10.. don't get me wrong though, I'm going to root for his success.. I still would move him if I could for a guy like Howie Kendrick and feel safer
  16. Why. because you say so? Maybe it's nor fair to loop him in with guys that are shorter than him (well, maybe a little as a few have questioned if he's even 5'9) but I don't see why its obvious to arbitrarily add 2-3" to the sample size. If a guy that height has never had success in the majors as a SP, its definitely something you cant ignore. You should debunk in other ways like what makes him diff than the guys that were his height. The line can be so thin in professional sports from guys that make it and guys that don't.. the league is different than say 20 years ago in that throwing 90+mph doesn't give you the same odds of making the majors and having an impact. I'm not claiming to be educated enough to have an opinion.. but if you tell me there's been maybe 1 SP in the last 100 years that had success at 5'9 or below.. cant see how you can ignore that sample size. If you want to say under 6'0 why not just expand the sample even more and say under 6'2
  17. I wasn't being too serious.. it was at least 25% a racist joke.. for the record, CC says he's the same weight.. he just toned up.. the "muscle weighs more than fat" deal
  18. Yeah I read CC was losing weight this off-season and trimming up.. damn he looks old though.. either its a bad pic or he's been sucking on that glass dick
  19. I missed it. How are we acquiring Kendrick again?
  20. Thread title should be changed to "The Herpes Thread" in honor of its persistence to exist

Ha. This is even more f***ed up in a diff way.. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/warren-moon-scammed-200-000-thought-buying-share-232244824--nfl.html HOF QB Warren Moon gets scammed out of $200k that he thought was for a 5% ownership stake in the Miami Heat including 4 courtside seats.... !!! I don't have a degree from MIT but doesn't that value the franchise at $4m dollars...lol.. that is crazy. Sometimes we have no idea how stupid some of the athletes can be. More NFL and NBA than MLB obviously
  22. Yeah right after I responded I understood what he was saying.. missed the point originally
