    I'm not saying defense isn't a big part, it obviously supplements the pitching.. but come on.. 5th in ERA means 1st or 2nd in the AL as I assume most of the teams ahead of them were NL teams.. just say then win with pitching and defense..

    Well they did to Jones.. but they really don't need to.. just some solid signings would suffice.. only Davis is coming up but as mentioned, he could return a massive haul if they wanted...

    I wouldn't sell my soul for him just yet.. though obviously he's a stud. Has to get the SO up (to be elite anyway) and BBs down (no matter what) though.. I don't know if its a given.. so much talent though no doubt..

    Yeah s***.. if O's were out of it and put CD on the trade market at the deadline this year.. HUGE return.. so I don't see a lot of downside to their franchise if they wanted to keep adding

    They could add maybe AJ Burnett and Morales say.. and be around $100m or less.. (I think).. those couple moves could help them be a little more viable.. as far as future goes.. I like both Bundy and Gausman a lot..Norris and Hardy both seem signable as well. If Weiters doesn't become at least a .750-.800 OPS bat again, he wont attract the big money contracts from the big spenders.. the teams like TAM and such that value the other things don't write big checks.. so O's should be able to retain him as well

    Yeah, for as much flak as the O's get on here.. its a good 85+ Win team with some nice young arms in the pipeline too.. it's crazy how Angelos doesn't want to seriously add wins.. not like the surrounding area is TAM.. Seems like PA just doesn't have the fire for it anymore

    I assuming we'd see Izzy, Kratz (hopefully but will prob be Thole), and Gose.. as Goins and Lawrie are adjustable as well.. you have some play.. Baker would be good fit

    I meant as-is.. but yeah, its be preferable to get another bat on the bench... my point was just how atrocious the in-house alternatives were.. I would rather have the bigger pen and at least one guy will be s*** and get weeded out of the group.. if Sierra is that platoon guy plus Pillar/Gose.. I know I will see one of them more than I want to..

    I don't have an issue with 8 man pen just because Jays bench is so horrid I could care less to see any of them ever play.. plus most Jay BP pieces are a coin flip in terms of what their production might be.. so I don't mind 8 guys to start and weeding out..

    Wow. Surpised. Would have to read more on it.. I know I was reading only a couple years ago here in the US that NHL ratings were on par with like women's soccer more or less.. maybe there's been a spike..

    No. You're not looking at it right. There's players like Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan.. they just want it much more than even the normal athlete.. Bonds and Clemens fit in that personality.. when guys are relaxing in the off-season, roids or no.. these guys would be on their program the first day after the season was over.. Im not saying the same about many (most) of the other known users..

    Do you thing hgh is like a magic elixir that can fix anything.. it's not.. not even close.. Sure it undoubtedly helps but if you're assuming guys like Griffey and Rickey didn't use hgh later on in their careers in hopes of getting back on the field and competing.. but just couldn't compete at that same level.. youre mistaken.. Bonds and Clemens outside of roids are known as two of the hardest working guys in bb history.. their off-seasons were maniacal according to all reports.. Rickey could have spent too much time doing blow and f***ing hookers and Griffey something else.. I mean before the mid 30's.. meaning Bonds and Clemens had prepared their bodies by then to be machines to withstand the grind

    Actually it was 1987 when Mac launched all those homers. Very easy to remember without looking because 1987 was when mlb prob itself cheated by experimenting with juicing the balls.. Balls were going out at a crazy rate... my first favorite player in baseball.. the stud George Bell put out 47 on route to his MVP season (I think).. But Canseco was a 1 year vet then too.. I had his 1986 rookie card so I'm pretty sure on that without looking..

    If Sony isn't the game developer behind The Show (I don't know if they do software like Nintendo).. they should at least funnel some money to The Show's developer for this PS4 edition because they could prob sell a good chunk of consoles to people if they put out an awesome game for the PS.. since Xbox now has nothing for bb.

    Yeah.. they said that last season until like 3 weeks before release date and switched course.. but.. they did that by just taking the same 2k12 and updating the rosters.. there was backlash from gamers.. so this time I think they mean it when they say it.
