  1. Next we will see some retàrded org like the Angels or Padres gobbling up Teoscar and give the Dodgers a top 100 prospect
  2. Solution is simple Don’t care what the present day value is the AAV for luxury tax accounting is dollars divided by years. Defer as much as you’d like
  3. Sick I can’t wait to see the dodgers with a billion in annual salary commitments while the Rockies and Rays run 70M payrolls
  4. Yes the same guy who said Ohtani to the Jays No I don’t care
  5. Don’t get your panties in a knot that it isn’t Jeff Passan I’m posting
  6. I felt pretty confident in Tucker. That confidence is now waning…
  7. I know it sounds crazy to sit here and be like we need to add to the top as they do sit with the highest projections in the AL My view is CBA expiring, like 70M off the books next year, one outfielder under contract beyond this year, riding the 2025 high… the time is now. They’ve gone 90% of the way just finish this bitcħ off Granted you’re right, team is deep and it’s hard to add anywhere if the player isn’t like a 4 win guy.
  8. Ponce over Berrios
  9. The lineup is honestly lacking one more legit top 4 bat and lots of these guys have question marks George - 36 and just had a dead cat bounce Barger - platoon risk, projects as average to 10% better Vlad - no worries Santa - huge question mark. Could be the legit top 4 bat could hit 220/300/420 Kirk - no worries Varsho - would be nice if the breakout sustained Okamoto - feels like the teams third best hitter Ernie - league average bat with 9 homers Gimenez - average bat is best case Ontario So many of these guys derive their value from defense (Kirk, Varsho, Ernie, Gimenez) so while the ZiPS projections look good it still feels like a KC Royals 2015 offense Now if Tucker is getting 50 sheets a year then I guess it is what it is
  10. The next two FA classes lack any sort of hitter resembling Tucker or even Bichette for that matter Jays have a clear outfield need in 27 and beyond I would be disappointed if Okamoto was the only bat brought in to replace Bo. Rogers is flush with liquid cash and paying 20M in tax for Tucker should be looked at as a privilege!
  11. It’s incredible what sports fandom can do to a grown man’s mind
  12. They might have got him for what they offered if they were willing to give him a full no trade. It’s honestly crazy they just wouldn’t commit to a 5 year contract. It’s not at the Mookie Betts level of embarrassment but it’s not far off Where is Grant? Surprised we haven’t heard from him
  13. I’m pretty sure they’re going to sign Tucker
  14. Tucker to Toronto Bo to Boston Belli to NYM Moncada to NYY 😂
  15. Open the flood gates let’s gooo
  16. Ya you’re probably right… maybe a little more like 25M but that’s a good point.
  17. Slap in the face to Skubal. Doesn’t matter that he only made 10M last year he’s the best pitcher on the planet Imagine arguing in front of his face that he’s not worth 32M lol Might be traded before the season even begins
  18. Okamoto is an accessory signing Still waiting for the big move
  19. Cody Bellinger and Amed Rosario DA BRONX BOMBERS
  20. I don’t really care whether it’s Tucker or Bo but I think it’s pretty obvious they’re not settling at Okamoto. All these writers are making it sound like it’s crazy they are still in play but you only have to go back like 2 weeks where people were saying they might get BOTH, so 15M to Okamoto won’t hinder another signing
