After an 11 game win streak and all the major trades, it was obvious this place was going to have an influx of new posters. With new posters come trolls. What was done to combat that? Sweet f*** all. This board becomes less enjoyable by the day, and it's a shame its happening during some of the best baseball the Jays have played in two decades. At the very least, give these guys who have offered to help moderate this place the ability to get rid of trolls and morons. That would be a start.

Challenging a player and putting them in a position to fail are two separate things. In a game like baseball where bad habits develop quickly and are hard to break, why risk it. I'm not talking specifically about Greene, I'm talking about the ******** narrative on this board that "challenge them because they will figure it out eventually if they're ML quality" pisses me off. I also don't agree with learning to "reach deep down inside" as that sounds like something Buck and Pat would refer to.

Putting players in a position to fail can also create bad habits that become hard to break. The idea that they will just adjust to more advanced competition and continue to develop is flawed in my opinion. Some kids obviously will, but why rush until they've mastered each level?

Playing with your butt hole clenched is also the enemy. There is literally no reason for the Jays to be worried about anyone. They're a top 5 team in baseball.

You must've missed the part where the Jays were basically a .500 team before adding Tulo, Price, Revere, Lowe and Hawkins. -

No it's not. The question is not whether or not Rogers can afford to pay David Price 30M a year. The question would be whether or not that 30M could be relocated to be more adequately spent over the next 7 years, and I believe it could be. Remember when everyone thought St. Louis was going to die because they didn't resign Pujols? Ya, that was a thing at one point.

Yup. It is truly exciting to have a guy like him on the mound every 5th day. Something we obviously haven't had since Halladay.

Toronto fans need to come to grips with the fact that Price is only here for the rest of the year. Enjoy it while you can! Spending 30M/year on David Price would be an inefficient use of resources, and would not help sustain continued success the way many fans think it would. Hopefully he continues to dominate the rest of the regular season, giving us a chance to make the playoffs. That's what he was brought here for. He's not a long term fixture in the Blue Jays rotation.

You can't be so scared all the time, Troubadour! Stop looking at the negatives and start embracing that teams coming to Toronto aren't particularly excited about it!
