Nobody is saying Edwin isn't a good hitter anymore. This all started because you cherry picked my sentence in which I said he's an aging, declining slugger (which he is). Saying he's under appreciated would be a stretch, as I think many people here understand exactly what he is- a good DH on a team friendly contract. There is great value to be had from Edwin the rest of this year and in 2016.
There is also a group of pitchers between "top of the rotation" and "3's & 4's". No, Edwin is not landing an ace by himself but not moving him for controllable pitching if the opportunity presents itself when you're most likely going to have to decide between him and Bautista after 2016 seems like a mistake.
