Late 90's for me. Like a couple guys here, I loved Jose Cruz Jr. growing up. I vividly remember listening to Vernon Wells' debut on the radio in my mom's classroom during the summer of 1999.
Well I sure as s*** don't want to be responsible for snapping this streak! I can't believe media hasn't caught on how important the GDT creator is for the Jays.
You aren't trying to say that a draft that featured Correa, Buxton, Zunino, Gausman, Heaney, A. Russell, Giolito, C. Seager, Wacha, and Stroman in the FIRST round was a good draft, are you?
No, I fully understand the point. I think it's f***ing dumb that Rogers didn't pay for the suit, that Bautista feels the need to play big brother (at least he's keeping to himself), and that there are people on a message board who seem genuinely concerned that a 24 year old with a salary of over half a million dollars had to pay $900 out of pocket for a suit he got at 50% off.
My give a s*** factor is so low that I forgot it was at the beginning of the year.
Double checking.. nope, still no sympathy felt for someone who has a salary of over half a million having to buy a $1800 suit for 50% off. I understand this isn't the main point of this thread, but there are people who honestly seem fiscally concerned about Devon Travis.
Also, it's interesting to see how many financial advisors there are on the forum! Really had no clue there were so many of you.
I'm sure Travis could have comfortably have bought 1, 2, heck even 10 more suits if he wanted. Sure the principle of all this was wrong, and Rogers should really just pay for the suit to make this go away but let's not act like this $1000 suit has placed a financial strain on Devon Travis.
